GoDaddyGuy set one of GoDaddyGuy's replies as an official response to "Error establishing a database connection" in Go Daddy
GoDaddyGuy replied on November 17, 2009 00:53 to the problem "Error establishing a database connection" in Go Daddy:
Wayne5,
You'll want to check the wp-config.php file and confirm that each of the four required fields are entered correctly. If you're not sure about the password, you can reset it from GoDaddy.com Hosting Control Center. We have some more information about setting up a WordPress config file in our Help Center:
http://help.godaddy.com/article/5111
I have reviewed your account and determined the exact cause of the error, but I'm unable to discuss specifics in this public forum. If you need more information, please contact GoDaddy.com Support at 480.505.8877. Once you have validated your account with our Support staff, they can check the notes I left and advise you more directly.

Thanks for your questions, Ashokv. However, GoDaddy.com is not involved with the .TEL registry in any way, so it wouldn't be appropriate for me to speak on its behalf. Instead, I will point you to the .TEL registry website where you can learn more about how the top-level domain may be used:
http://www.telnic.org/
If you still have questions about the domain, you should contact the registry directly. There is a contact page on the site with current contact information.

GoDaddyGuy set one of GoDaddyGuy's replies as an official response to "Is domain forwarding with godaddy that slow? http://foo.com FORWARD to http://www.foo.com?" in Go Daddy
GoDaddyGuy replied on November 16, 2009 20:54 to the question "Is domain forwarding with godaddy that slow? http://foo.com FORWARD to http://www.foo.com?" in Go Daddy:
Normally, the www subdomain points to the common name (the domain without a subdomain) by default. In this situation, forwarding the common name to the www subdomain would create an infinite forwarding loop, and no site would ever display. So, if you're forwarding the domain to the www subdomain, please make sure the www CNAME is not simply pointing to "@" in the DNS management area.
With that said, domain name forwarding can take 24-48 hours to complete because of the nameserver propagation that must take place (a process over which GoDaddy.com has no control). However, users almost always see the affects of forwarding much more quickly than that.
If you setup domain name forwarding and you do not see your domain forwarding after 48 hours, there is likely a misconfiguration. In such a situation, GoDaddy.com Support is available 24 hours a day to help you review your account - http://www.godaddy.com/community/comm...

Will,
I understand your concern about the additional message. I assure you that what you have described is not standard practice. It is likely that there has been some misunderstanding about the email's intent or that there is some other reason for confusion. This is why I would like you to forward a copy of the email you received to our support staff. Without seeing the exact email and being able to review your specific account, there is no way for us to truly understand the situation.
Please understand that GoDaddy.com is interested in providing the best possible customer service. However, the Get Satisfaction Web site is not the appropriate forum for discussing the private details of a customer's account. If you have continued concerns about this matter, I encourage you to take my suggestion and communicate directly with our support staff (who are available 24 hours a day, every day).

Will,
I apologize if there was any confusion over the renewal notices. These notices are sent to make sure that customers receive warning of possible expiration - as you might expect, we come across all types of customers including those who may not realize they have important domain names expiring and who do not have them set to automatically renew. In addition, some people who disable the autorenewal option change their minds later or forget to manage their accounts when the times comes. For this reason, we opt to warn all customers of expiring domains rather than not warning them and having some domains unintentionally lost.
You stated that you received an email saying your domain(s) would renew regardless of the autorenewal being turned off. This should not be the case. There has most likely been a misunderstanding, but it is best that we review the email in question to determine exactly what is happening. I recommend forwarding a copy with your concerns to support@godaddy.com. The GoDaddy.com Support team would then investigate your account to ensure that everything is working properly and answer any remaining questions you might have.

farrukhqasimi,
Thank you for taking the time to post your concern to Get Satisfaction. Unfortunately, this type of issue can only be addressed by our Undo team. I see that you've already contacted that department, and I ask that you continue to work directly with them if you have any additional questions about how to proceed.
