Any purevolume addons or support?I don't see any addons for purevolume... is there any intention for support for purevolume?
Godsrock37 replied on April 11, 2009 04:53 to the question "Compatible with the latest iPhone and iPod touch?" in Songbird:
Dustin, is the question a matter of the legality of Songbird developers creating the addon? If thats the case why doesn't someone unaffiliated write the addon using third party libs already out there and post it somewhere accessible to all and let the internet do the rest...
I wonder how hard it would be-

i don't understand why you would want a media library without the playback... especially if the playback is largely implemented.
when you say songbird should focus on being the best music player what do you mean? Most of the music playing features are available and the rest will be complete by 1.2 Music playing is pretty standard stuff once its implemented and doesn't exactly require huge amounts of upkeep.
If songbird wants to add features it has two areas to go right now as I see it:
1) video playback support (makes it competitive with other media players)
2) web integration (puts it above other media players)
just my 2 cents-

ya thats actually what made me post here in the first place. i thought Koshi was trying to say the roadmap was incorrect...
Stevel - that sounds awesome. I'm looking forward to helping. I can't at the moment because in the summer i work a million jobs but I'm planning on putting some time in late august/early september

nice! i thought the road map said it was punted for 0.7 but i must have misunderstood
cool stuff.
speaking of devs working nights and weekends... is this a closed group or can anyone join? I've been meaning to look into it and see if i could contribute but haven't had time but i might have free time in the school year.

Why was watch-folders punted for the next release of Songbird?First off... Songbird is awesome! It's now my default media player. The Ipod support is adequate and the media player is great and the integrated browser and add-ons are amazing! And it's got a great community with great devs which makes you feel like the project is actually making progress and you are going somewhere with it.
But my question:
Why was watch-folders punted for the next release of Songbird?
That is one feature I was really looking forward to. Just a question.
