@ashponders - Near By is a great feature, but if users have to click on locate with every Tweet, users aren't going to do it. So if I'm at work, I would love to see who's Tweeting around me. If I'm at home, I would love to see what happening around me.

@Christopher A. Wichura - Location API? Just get it from the iPhone.

@Floris - What I'm suggesting is an option to always find my location. So if you don't want Tweetie to always find it, you can manually do it. :)

If Twitter visually nests the replies (see Facebook), then there would be no mis-@ replying. If I @ reply to your Tweet, should lock that @ reply to the original message.

Now what if my @ reply is the original message? Twitter also would need to implement easy name look ups. There are user scripts that do this as well.

So this way @ replies are properly organized and if you wanted to start a new @ reply, you can easily find your follower.

I've looked at some nested @ reply scripts for Twitter, but they just don't do it. They are just all cheap hacks to me.

Because of the current Twitter structure, I often times got off subject @ replies mixed in. Though, if everybody was using it, then you wouldn't have mis-@ replies, I guess.

Yes, we need nested @ replies! look at Facebook's nested comments on status.

It appears that the ground work is already there with "in reply to" links, but they need to be nested for easy organization.
