EMI (Easy monthly installments)I hope your site should help a EMI (Easy monthly installments) system to provide more customers to start using the services.
Gosay replied on November 10, 2008 10:41 to the problem "ftp:// Download links are rejected" in Wakoopa:
I have tested today, with ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ls-lR.gz it worked fine, but the other day, i used a link, which worked when i used the browser, and was able to see the file popup and ready to download, but wakoopa rejected it. Today i had a different experience ftp://ftp.mimuw.edu.pl/People/zbyszek/SSHSecureShellClient-3.2.9.exe while downloading this file from wakoopa redirected, please enter this link into the browser directly to check if the link is working, and add the link to the application profile and then check, that after redirectory, it adds another (/) forward slash. tested on firefox and internet explorer.-

Gosay replied on November 07, 2008 15:48 to the idea "Merge duplicate entries by using the "Get satisfaction" "Here's is what we found" feature?" in Wakoopa:
Sorry i should have been more clear.
Sub: Copy the same search for duplicate that "Get satisfaction" uses while a user is logging a feedback.
Steps:
1. Login into your Getsatisfaction account and navigate to Wakoopa forum.
2. ex: Report a problem form filling, When a user fills the details of the problem, notice that "Getsatisfaction" is searching simultaneously when the user is keying their issue, for any similar entries/posts by other users.
3. Now Create a system that can verify if the Software name/profile matches to that of any other existing profile of an application. If the Match is 60-70% and above, flag the application as could be duplicate entry.
4. Now when a profile is flagged as duplicate, all these should be reviewed by the matching software name. either the deletion/merging can be done by the Wakoopa staff, or the Users them selves.
5. If a Wakoopa User is reporting the merge option, then the user should be facilitated with the option mentioned in step 2, that is , when the User is editing the title of the application, it should show (bottom or right hand side of the edit box) the matching titles. or the user when completing the information of the Author, then also the user should be able to the existing Authors other applications (display style as described in step 2).
Alternatively:
Application should be identifiable by their system Process names, example Internet explorer is "iexplore.exe"
Im guessing that the application could be first matched against the process name, and Version first, then check for Title, Author, and Website of the application if that is an possible duplicate entry.
( but i think this is how the present wakoopa is running).
Wikipredia flags few articles as need modification, or not of a good quality, i dont know if thats the people or Software that identifies it, kind check how is it that moderate the content there.

View or Track ConversationCommenting on an application that a friend is using, it would be nice, if we could map/link the friends review/comment to the comment i made. the best way to understand the feature request is "Orkut" View conversation.

Sorry for posting in a wrong section, i couldnt edit it now to file it in the right sections.
What if we create an another Form field where they enter the wakoopa user id? (not a mandatory) – Gosay, on November 04, 2008 10:27
A comment on the idea "Individual application should be able to post on facebook wordpress or any other Open ID compatible blogs." in Wakoopa:
Existing widget can be posted onto Facebook, Wordpress, but there should be a system where the user can also the application (overview, statistics, download locations on any of these web applications). The best format to imitate is youtube share/send toolbar under every video?
How i would use this? When i like any application instead of writing a review on my personal blog and again write it here, i should be able to post my review written at wakoopa about the application posted onto wordpress or facebook. – Gosay, on November 04, 2008 10:22

In that case, should we not separate the comments and review? – Gosay, on November 04, 2008 10:18

My friends know "What" and "When" i use a software not "Why"!Inspired from Twitter: What if we could have a feature where we can comment, why we are using a particular application, so that people will know "Why" we are using an application

Yes! its fundamental question, strange that its not been commented. We need Wakoopa to operate in an Offline mode too.....
User from India who use internet in the offpeak to get better package will show the wrong statistics, hence this is a very important point thats brought to the notice.
Thank you-
