Catgofire, thanks for responding but my question is related to pings in the other direction.

From what I understand, the feature I am looking for is called a "pingback", a feature that is not supported by Disqus.

Monique, I believe this is what we need but what I don't understand is how to set this up. It seems that I am confused on a key piece of information and can use some help to get more details.

Although I see what pages are being viewed, I would like to know what search words are being used for SEO purposes.

I finally had the chance to read the articles you provided. These articles show how to get reports of words used on search engines to find my site. I have that capability with Google Analytics.

I am using FreeFind for Site Searches which gives me reports of search words used within my site.

However, I would like to know what search words are being used on my blog through the default post search.

Regarding trackbacks... a great description of the different types can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trackbacks.

I found the same problem with Google Search so I use FreeFind (http://www.freefind.com/) as my site search engine. I have this working on my site at http://gracehm.com.

embedded slides displayed incorrectly

The control panel of my embedded slides at http://gracehm.com is displaying incorrectly. I had no issues with it until recently. The control panel seems to be squashed too much upward, leaving lots of space below it.

Note that I have reduced the size of the embedded slides, but had no issues with the control panel until now.

Is there a way to remove the "start slideshow" button on embedded slides?

Is there a way to remove the new "start slideshow" button on embedded slides? I don't want this button.

First of all, this button occludes my cover page. Second, I'd rather my viewers NOT use PLAY to view the slides.

Playing the slides won't work for slides that don't have animations. Slideshare does not offer animation.

Also, since there is no ability to change the slide transition timing, the PLAY feature is really worthless. My slides are in in the same format as "Meet Henry" so it takes too long to view the slides if they are played.

Please advise if the button can be removed as an option.

Thanks Sean for clarifying the mess that Disqus has created. Why even have a link there if it's just going to give that weird message? I hope I do not lose trackbacks because of this.

No URL is given, just an error message "1 Request must be POST".

I understand how trackbacks work. As noted above, a trackback URL is not being provided to people who want to trackback to my post. Instead, they get the following message... "1 Request must be POST". Where's the trackback URL?

By the way, I found out that Disqus does not support the pingback feature in my question #1.
