Just realised that my idea could be satisfied by this idea, as I could group multiple activites under Work, and others under Breaks and then I can see when I've hit my work goal.-

Emily shared an idea in Snooty Monkey on March 02, 2009 20:15:
Daily total of working/billable hours onlyI'd like to be able to exclude certain activities from my daily total, but still want to log them. E.g I want to track my work hours, but when I run errands or take breaks in the day I log these as activities and they get added to my daily total. I want to be able to tag these activities for exclusion from daily total so that I can see just my work hours total at a glance. Or if I could tag activities as work or play, and then set a daily goal for say, 7 hours of work activities per day, then I could see when I'm done work!
If we wanted to get a bit more complicated here - I know the point of bubble timer is to keep simple, but so that I can explain where I am coming from - I am thinking of David Seah's Concrete Goals Tracker and his points system for "when is something worth doing?". Now I'm not asking to be able to set all those points (tho' it would be nice!) but if it could just track work or play, that'd be fab!-

Emily reported a problem in FreeAgent Central on February 24, 2009 15:49:
Custom payment terms don't change due date for invoiceI've added custom payment terms to an invoice, but they aren't affecting the due date, so the invoice is still being shown as due in the normal number of days, not the special case that I've entered. Is there some way around this please?
Gradualist replied on February 24, 2009 15:43 to the question "Accepting deposits/part payments" in FreeAgent Central:
So Ryan, am I right to assume that you do you not issue an invoice when you receive a downpayment? Do you send any kind of acknowledgement instead, like a receipt?
The way I've been dealing with this, as my clients tend to request an invoice, is that I issue a (non-payable) invoice upon receipt of the funds, so then I have an invoice to apply the deposit to. I usually take another payment mid-way through the project which I invoice for, and then a final invoice at the end. At the moment I just have to make the invoices out to reflect the percentage of the contract that is still billable, and I make these calculations myself, but I look forward to the day when this is built into Freeagent, which from what I hear the team are working on something.
There is also the added complication of the fact that the deposit should be counted as a liability as mentioned in this thread but I'm just going to ignore that for now, esp since I don't charge VAT !

This problem is still happening. I see that you've had a couple complaints about this in the past - is there no long term solution to preventing porn from ending up on the homepage? At least you could have a quick link below posts to "report inappropriate content" - I was thinking of signing up to this service, but the last 3 times I've visited the homepage in the past week there have been pornographic images on the homepage, which prevents me wanting to join this site.-

Subscribing to individual posts/commentsI'd like to be able to subscribe to a blog post on the Boagworld website so I can follow the comments as they accumulate. I don't believe this functionality currently exists - could it?!
Gradualist replied on February 04, 2009 10:45 to the discussion "Virgin Broadband do not support Apple Macintosh users..." in Virgin Media:
Gosh, it hadn't occurred to me that it could be a conspiracy against Apple from Microsoft, but you are absolutely right that there is no good reason for them to provide the support, especially if they actually know about the router settings page! Well done for actually forcing them to tell you how to do it, maybe enough of us puttting pressure on them will force them to 'support' macs. I mean for goodness sake, they only need to take the information we've cobbled together and put it on their own website's support pages.
Gradualist replied on February 03, 2009 12:02 to the problem "Need to click links twice to get next page to load" in FreeAgent Central:
oh dear. it just happened to me in safari as well - the browser got stuck with the address bar showing the beginning of the blue progress colour bar and the status said Contacting "myname.freeagentcentral.com" but it just froze. So i hit the button again and it went to the page in a flash. Now I've tried to get it to happen a second time, to see if it occurs on the navigation as well as other buttons but I can't recreate the problem right now and firefox seems to be working smoothly at the moment too.
if it does happen again with some frequency, is there something I can do - like grab some activity logs from somewhere - that would help you take a look at what might be causing it?
I don't have this problem with any other websites that I use.
Gradualist reported a problem in FreeAgent Central on February 02, 2009 17:46:
Need to click links twice to get next page to loadI find that when I click on a save or submit link, or any other link on the site for that matter, that often the page just will get stuck attempting to load (browser stays on same page but progress bar shows that it is working) until I click the link again, and then it will quickly load the next page. I'm using Firefox 3.0.5 on an iMac 10.5.6 (Leopard), and to be honest, this has been a problem for me the whole time I've been using it.
Has anyone else had this problem?-

Gradualist replied on January 05, 2009 10:18 to the question "invoice sequencing" in FreeAgent Central:
I'd like to be able to have a client specific identifier on the Invoice sequence number too. I would also like to be able to have a project level sequence identifier - so my invoices would be 1234-CLIENTA-001
(global sequence number - clientID - project level sequence).
Just to add another level of complication!
Actuallly, if there was just another field in the "Advanced Options" of the New invoice page that I could use to add my own manual notation of the project level sequence, that would satisfy me fine. I know there is the additional information field, but I'm already using that for further payment information. I would like the extra field to appear alongside the Other information.-
