Granny Joan replied on October 11, 2008 18:36 to the question "Just want to use mic" in Snapvine:
The comment player widgets on myspace and other sites, don't have mike capability, but there is a way you can send them a message by mike.
(1) Click on their 'name' on the comment player.
(2) Click on 'View this Profile' (this will bring up their profile page on Snapvine.)
(3) Next to their photo you will see 'Leave a Voice Comment' link, click on that.
(4) Another page will open, where you can type in a subject line, and you can click on 'Microphone' tab.
(5) Then click on 'Record Button', talk and record your message.
(6) Click 'Stop' when finished.
(7) After the message 'saving' and 'success' appears and the 'Send' button turns blue, then click on the 'Send' button. The message should appear on their comment player. Note: Sometimes the message will not appear until the person has approved it, this depends on their privacy settings that they have setup on their account.
If you have an account on Snapvine and you are signed into your account, the message will be from your account name. If you don't have an account, when you use the method above, your message will come from 'New User'.
If you both have an account on Snapvine, and she/he is one of your friends, you can leave comments via microphone, by going to their profile page. Any comments (approved) will show up on their comment player (widget) on their social sites where they have embedded.
Hope this helps.
Granny Joan replied on September 27, 2008 19:34 to the question "cant get voice player to show up" in Snapvine:
Noticed this morning when I wanted to post a blog player to my eBlogger account the option to post using Firefox 3.0.2 and Mac was not showing up. The normal box where I would input my email id for eBlogger and password did not show up on the right side text box. Did not seem to allow any posting except to MySpace.
I copied and pasted code to eBlogger myself, but ran into invalid embed code and had to add closeout of 'bracket slash embed bracket' code to end of code as well as remove / after the code .... align="middle">

Granny Joan asked a question in Snapvine on August 30, 2008 18:07:
View All option of blog posts that I receive NOT displaying blog posts from 'Friends Only'.When I go to my 'Home Page', at the bottom I see the latest 5 blog posts made by people that I subscribe to on Snapvine. But when I click on the 'View All' option for the list of all the blog posts, the only ones that show up are those that are in public mode. Those persons that make blog posts while in 'friends only' mode do NOT show up in the list of all the blog posts that I have received. I see a potential problem, if I have subscribed to a lot of persons and receive more than 5 blog posts only the latest 5 show up on the 'Home' page and any that were made prior would be missed. Just wondering if this is an error or the way the 'View All' option was meant to be? Thanks!

Granny Joan replied on August 29, 2008 19:28 to the question "How can I delete my account?" in Snapvine:
If you remove all your friends, subscribers and such from your profile page, as well as all phone numbers, emails, photos, comments, blog posts and set your self to privacy setting of 'Friends only' ... believe me that should take care of deleting your profile from Snapvine. Good Luck, hope you are able to escape.
If you have a player or widget on any of your other social sites, might be good idea to delete the embed code on those sites and this will break ties thru those sites as well.
Hope this helps.

Krista I think you are mistaken, I have blog widgets on eBlogger that play the comments and also display the text replies or comments. I think the problem is just the fact that the widget for the voice blog player and also the talking photo are not working on YAHOO 360 site. Hope this helps.
If you need to see a widget on another site let me know and I will send a link. – Granny Joan, on August 27, 2008 21:41

I believe you need to have at least one comment on your voice player. If you have deleted all your comments, you can send one to your self, from your profile page on Snapvine.
If you click on 'Widgets' option on the blue menu bar on Snapvine page, you will be given the choice of type of player, click on the one you wish to add to your myspace page. Select a skin for the 'voice player' and the code will show up in the 'textbox', you can manually copy and paste to myspace or have it done automatically from there.
Remember, if you are using a Macintosh and Safari the code doesn't show up, but if you use Firefox it will show up in the textbox. Also, may be good to delete the previous code from your myspace and also make sure that you have enabled myspace to take html code in the section you wish to paste to.
Also, you may want to check your comment section whether the comments are being screened. These settings are found under 'Privacy Settings' from clicking on the 'account' option on your page. If you have set to screen comments, you will need to make at least one public for it to show up on your player.
Hope this helps.

Yes, Matt you are right, Snapvine does not give out emails of persons on site. You will have to ask the person for the email address. – Granny Joan, on August 17, 2008 19:28
