On around January 14 2009, we changed the computer that sends our email, and, unfortunately, many email services have been refusing to accept mail from us. This has now been fixed, but it may take a few hours before email gets through again.

I hope this has not caused too much hassle.

Confirmation emails can be resent by logging into the site, and clicking the "resend confirmation e-mail" link that will be displayed on most pages.

Sometimes, we get things a little wrong, and a technical glitch is going to prevent our email from being delivered. Normally we will catch these quickly, and they will only be in effect for a short time. In most cases, confirmation emails will automatically be delivered once things are fixed.

We have received a few complaints about Dammy, and so have temporarily suspended his account.

We will attempt to make contact with him tomorrow, and will inform you of what we find.

As one of the School Of Everything team, we will certainly help to make sure that this is not an Identity scam. My initial feeling is that this is an honest request.

At first glance I think the request could be real because Dammy is asking for specific information about tutoring services. Since Dammy is looking for a tutor for a 12 year old son, I assume he going to be as anxious as you are to make sure that he is dealing with a real person.

Perhaps, if you are uncertain, you could respond with information about your tutoring, but withhold your full address. Dammy has provided a phone number which is probably a US number, so, if you are able to continue your conversation, it may be worthwhile to arrange for a time to speak on the phone.

Although School of Everything is not currently able to ensure the identity of all tutors on the site, we are very interested in making sure that our users have the best possible experience, so, keep us informed, and we will assist in any way possible.
