Hi greenmanzanita,
to stop miro from displaying this stuff while audio plays you have to change the setting in video > options > playback.
Currently you might have something like goom, oscope, ... setting it to none stops this.
Don't know if it is a bug - in my version 1.2.7 the display doesn't refresh (I'll check this later for version 2 of miro and write a report if it's the same there).

how to shut off visualization for audio files?I've been attempting to shut off the visualization stuff (the moving shapes and colours) that are on the screen when an audio file is playing. I looked for a setting in the menus and options, but didn't find one. Please tell me how to do this. If it's not possible, please add a menu item or something in the options that can do this.
