    2.0 Publishing - A Very Sticky Solution
2.0 publishing - an integrated and very "sticky" option giving authors and publishers a desktop presence.

The realization came about when an associate of mine, Greg Atkinson, and I were talking about his emerging book, 'Church 2.0' and his desire to publish in both traditional book format and an E-Book. The convergence of ideas flowed and Greg is now considering using Splashpipe prior to publishing to build momentum as he shares some value add materials with his fans and pre-release buyers/ i.e. 'readers'. Then with Splashpipe now on the desktop of his fans he will be able to release the e-version of his book at the same time as the (traditional) book hits the stores (DVD with Splshpipe included in pocket); now readers and fans will all be able to receive ongoing communication and materials (including HD video and multi-media files) at any time in the future via his desktop presence powered by Splashpipe's DRM solution. (www.splashpipe.com - this is just a holding page. behind the curtain is an amazing tool!)

This concept is great for both the publisher and the author! Both can benefit from open channel created by Splashpipe on the computer desktop of the fan/ reader/ client. Publish updates, technical journals and training materials can be update automatically and old materials can be pulled instantly reducing the risk associated with old information. Add to existing libraries and never burn a CD/DVD now you can deliver any package of digital files (including HD Video) over any bandwidth!

I hope to hear from you and explore the potential of this technology further.
