Greg shared an idea in PostRank on November 19, 2009 13:50:
Blog Title Name on Daily Email NotificationI have 2 blogs on 2 seperate accounts. If would be good to put the name of the blog on your email notifications. Of course, I get 2 email notifications a day...but no blog title on them. I have no idea which is which, so I have to go online to see...it defeats the purpose. This would be a simple task to do. Thanks

Greg asked a question in PostRank on September 30, 2009 15:35:
Engagement Report, Yesterday Page ViewsWhy does the September 29, 2009 Engagement Report number differ from the
Page Views, Yesterday Number. My email came in at 52 but my Page Views Yesterday came in at 37. Shouldn't they be the same?
Greg replied on September 29, 2009 16:23 to the question "Page Views" in PostRank:
Melanie,
Before put down money and subscribe to PostRank I want to make sure I getting the most accurate numbers.
Here is a question and answer someone had that is more of what I looking for...
The Question:
Posterous showing inaccurate numbers from Google Analytics
It seems that the numbers on Posterous (views) are much higher than what I see in Google Analytics. I am measuring posts that were created long after GA was installed and confirmed to be working. For instance, this post: http://internetbarf.posterous.com/whe... shows viewed 234 times today on the Posterous page but GA only reports 17 page views. I have had GA installed and working on this Posterous blog since 01/26/2009.
This is a great response to the question. Is this somewhat how PostRank does this. If so, I am signing up.
The Answer:
First of all, when people read your posts through the Posterous reader (like I do) that counts as a view for that post on Posterous. But that would not hit google analytics. Same for RSS feeds.
If people hit your site and have javascript disabled, that would still count as a view on Posterous, but would be ignored by Google analytics
If I go to the main page for your site:
http://internetbarf.posterous.com/
That will count as a post view for *each* of the posts on that page. Google would count that as one view for that page, and no views for each post.
So the fundamental difference here is google analytics is counting when that particular page is loaded with javascript, while we count anytime that *post* is loaded, on any page anywhere.
Please respond, thanks!

Page ViewsHow do you calculate the number for a Page Views? Google does it one way and Posterous does it another. How do you arrive at that number?-
