This is great and provides a solution to people who do actually like gantt charts. I think it is very useful to be able to see a gantt chart of all projects since it helps a lot with project planning, seeing where there is overlap between different projects.

For the timings, we have started to use a 'hack' using negative time to estimate hours for each task, rather than using this function to log time spent. This could be integrated into the list view interface to estimate time (it could maybe use days = 8 hours) and then use this data for plotting tasks on the gantt chart.

Thanks for the quick response. I had previously been using Plaxo sync on the same address book, but that was de-installed before I started with Soocial. I have now manually transferred my address book (export and then import) to another computer, and deleted some dups. What will happen if I link that address book back to my Soocial account?

I will send an email to support with my username.

Hundreds of duplicates not being detected
I have hundreds of duplicates in my Soocial account. Why is duplicate detection not working? The duplicates were created since I started using Soocial, when my gmail and Address book were synched. It seems to have added about 500 contacts which must be duplicates, and many are very obviously so from browsing through. I have disconnected from Soocial since it keeps seeming to cause problems and more work for me with duplicates - is there any way to clean up the duplicates on my account? Have there been any improvements that should stop this happening again, so I can regain my trust in Soocial?

    FTP pipe not working
I can't get the ftp service to work. What should I be entering in the fields? I have entered the username and password as requested, and for server path I enter ftp.server.com/home/user as the path from root, but have also tried without a path. Nothing works.

Yes, this would be an important change. I thought it would only sync with my contacts, and now I have loads of useless addresses in my address book.

    Syncing crashes
The Soocial sync client on my Mac keeps seeming to get stuck. I have build 1.0b23v4535M on OSX 10.5.4 on a macbook. It was working fine up until around the time I added a google sync. Now, it starts syncing, and sometimes comlpetes, but then seems to get stuck, and continues to give a message "Currently syncing..." and the last sync is from yesterday (I have updated contacts in my address book). It seems that by turning off Soocial and turning it on again it starts to work.

    Groups
It would be great if Soocial had groups (or tags) which synced with Google and Addressbook groups. Even better if I could restrict syncing by group, so I could sync work contacts to my Google apps account, and personal contacts to my gmail.
