Would love to post updates via TwitterMany sites out there are now allowing you to post updates and information via Twitter shortcodes. Would be fantastic if I could write something like the following:
"d gyminee 2 servings graham cracker 130cal fat2.5g carb24g pro2g"
or
"d gyminee chipotle 3 soft tacos with chicken no sourcream"
It would make it SOOOO much easier to stay on top of a nutrition guide.

Better Twitter integrationI think it would be great if I could get a better synopsis, perhaps adding a title and then as much content as you can fit into a twitter post, and then using a short-URL service like is.gd, tinyURL.com, or POPrl.com to reduce amount of characters the URL takes up.
Right now, my entries look like this:
"Just Mixx'd this: http://www.mixx.com/stories/2836637"
It would be great if they looked more like this:
"Just Mixx'd this: "Yoga Moves to Beat Insomnia, Ease Stress, and Relieve Pain" The next time you find yourself lying... http://poprl.com/5YP"
The second one falls in at exactly 140 characters, and is more likely to inspire a click.
Thanks,
Greg

RSS feeds for portfoliosI think it would be fantastic if there were a way to get an RSS feed for my portfolio: http://www.behance.net/greghuntoon. I would love to be able to pull that feed into my own personal site, and then link back to Behance for the details. I think you would find this in use quite heavily by your users. Making my portfolio portable would mean that I could create widgets and place them on my Facebook page, Myspace profile, blogs, etc.

No mdy, I'm having the exact same problem that @scm is reporting right here. I can add it to my personal profile page with no problem (which I don't care to do), but I can't add it to my business page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Musican..., even though it says that I added the app in the mini-feed on my business page. Please help.

Rewards program for businesses and customersSince Yelp has so many businesses catalogued, it would be great if people had a way to earn points towards discounts or special benefits with the businesses that they frequent, review, and refer their friends (and other visitors) to. For example, if you write a review for a restaurant, and over the next 6 months 2000 people find that review helpful, chances are that review has been a boon for the restaurant's business.
It would be great if businesses could "claim" themselves on Yelp (much as we do with GetSatisfaction.com), and then offer participating customers rewards of some sort.

Can't install Twitter app on Facebook business pageI'm having pretty significant problems adding the Twitter app to my Facebook company page(s). I have "added" the app, but the box doesn't show up on the page. So I tried to remove the app, and that didn't work either, because now I can't go back in and try to add it again (to see if I can get it installed by doing something different).

Credit card gateway errorFor anyone who is receiving the error from gateway message: "This transaction cannot be processed due to an invalid merchant configuration," please be patient with us. We have recently added a new payment processor, and we noticed problems this morning. We have taken our credit card processing offline, but currently still have our fantastically solid PayPal processing gateway up and running smoothly.
We are expecting a 24-48 hour turnaround time on getting the credit card processing back online, though we of course hope it will be much sooner.
Thanks for your patience,
Greg Huntoon

Please add Posterous.com to your services list.Posterous.com is on the up-and-up. It's a great little site, and being used quite heavily in the tech-savvy world. 'Twould be great to have it on the list.
Thanks.
A comment on the problem "Can't dynamically load XML into SWFs" in Shopify:
Look at you Tobias!!! I hope to check that out sometime tonight/this weekend, when I get a chance. I will report back as to the success of this approach as soon as I can.
Thanks. – Greg Huntoon, on August 21, 2008 22:48
Greg Huntoon reported a problem in Shopify on August 21, 2008 22:14:
Can't dynamically load XML into SWFsI'm unable to dynamically load XML into Flash files on the server, because Shopify's asset manager uploads files to different subdomains. My guess on the main problem is Flash's new security which requires there to be a file in the server root allowing access to outside domains.
If I hard code the .xml directly into the .swf, it works just fine, but I really would like to be able to reuse certain gallery viewers and lookbooks, instead of having to create new static instances each time I want a new one.

You know Terry, what's great about this new "Overheard" feature is that it will rip through Twitter and find any mention of the company name. So, we're able to proactively seek out problems (and/or praise) quite easily. I now have it set up as an RSS feed in Mail, so anytime anyone says anything about Musicane, I'll get it to see if there's something that someone needs help with.
Really, your words weren't that biting. You didn't say anything we don't already know. We're snarky at iTunes sometimes, too. I think that's maybe part of how we got where we are.
In any case, I'll make sure to let you know when we're up and running with the new site.
In a good way,
Greg

Tmofee, I know that this was awhile ago that you posted, but I just wanted to let you know that we're about to be relaunching. There have been a ton of problems and limitations in the past. We're about to change all that. Just wanted to give you a heads up. Within the month, Musicane will be a much more powerful and useful too.
Thanks,
Greg

OpenID difficultiesI'm having a terribly difficult time getting OpenID setup on a new project I was invited into. I am using OpenID to manage every other Basecamp account (total of 3). Please help...
greghuntoon replied on August 12, 2008 06:01 to the idea "Support for multiple Flickr accounts..." in Connected Flow:
Honestly, I think that it's something a lot more people might need than you can imagine. I currently have 5 accounts that I switch through (a pro for myself, one for my wife's company, one for my work, one for a band I manage, and one for a client that I help upkeep).
I could really use some sort of manager, openBar (open ID multi-account support), or other solution.
Thanks,
Greg
