Casey, I've transferred one of my 1.0 wikis ( https://seagarden.pbwiki.com ) over using the beta-testing goodness (among other things) but I plum forgot about a second one I have (clearly, not a top priority). Should I just sign up in that switch form you linked to, or do I have to do something else? Thanks so much! – Emily Hummel, on June 22, 2008 17:02

You can now change your 1.0 wiki to 2.0 by going to http://pbwiki.com/2 and signing up there.

I'm trying to put a gadget in line horizontally with a picture. Both are enclosed in a <div> statement. The photo is set to "float" on the right side of the page, and the gadget floats on the left side. However, the gadget gets pushed below the photo. There is (should be) text that wraps in between. GRRRRRR...
Any ideas? I can move the gadget to another location on the page, but do not want to do that.</div>

Why won't Google gadgets go next to each other? How do you put two Google gadgets next to each other? I would like to put a clock and a weather box next to each other. In edit they appear that way. When I save, the second sone goes beneath the first. How do I fix that?

As a heads up, I was poking around on the internet and found a way for you to export your KidPix graphics to .gif format so you can put them on a photo sharing site or even your own wiki - http://t4.jordan.k12.ut.us/profession...
I haven't tried this myself (I still use MS Paint!) so tell me if it works! We have lots of teachers here, so knowing how to help them put their students' work online would be really awesome.

I don't know if the OP is still following this, but I if you wanted thumbnails, is it because you want to have a bunch on a page at once? Because then what you could do is simply create a photobucket account for the class, or a flickr account for the class, and the like, and upload the photos into galleries there. Then you could just make a page in your wiki that has a link to your galleries. Flickr also has a 'badge' feature, you can get html code (which you'd be able to insert into your wiki using the html plug in by cut-n-pasting), the code selects six or so images at random from one of your galleries, and displays them all together as smaller thumbnails. I believe that it also randomly changes the images however, so it rotates through your photos over time. that might not be what you want. But it might be a good start, and a good segway into the whole gallery.

OK, if not a thumbnail, is there any other way to post students' drawings, etc. short of photographing and turning it into a jpg? I don't know photobucket. Most of my students work in KidPix or TuxPaint and I have no choice of how to save them. I've seen student drawings on other sites; guess I just don't know how to convert the files. Thanks.
