SambaIs a bundle containing samba available? I can't find one and the images available do not seem to contain servers with samba.

Thanks!
So you mention the 2 addresses (LAN & WAN) will remain with your instance for as long as it's running. A reboot does not change the WAN IP, correct? What would you recommend as the reliable method of creating a CNAME record on your own DNS server to point to the EC2 instance?
1. Always use the DNS name? (*.compute-1.amazonaws.com)
2. Or can I reliably point to the WAN IP?

EC2 is where the VM is running. I used the web admin panel, "Network" tab to change from dhcp to static. I'm starting to believe this IP is a LAN IP and not routable from WAN connection. The WAN IP address seems to be something altogether different, but I'm not sure how to use this static WAN IP or if it would ever change if I pointed a DNS name at it locally.

how to use static IP'sI've switched my network settings to use a static IP, but I can't seem to access the server whatsoever using this static IP. I can still access the web admin using the DNS name, and I can still SSH to the server using the DNS name. And even ping the new static IP from the server's console, but from the WAN, the static IP is usable.
