Do let us know which browser you are Using?
Also, delete temporary internet files ad cookies from your computer and then try to signup.

You can delete the comments your self if they are on your slideshow. Login into your a/c, open the Presentation and go to the slideshow page... the Delete ink is given there, Click on the Delete Link and the comments will be removed.

This issue will get resolved in next couple of days and then you can try signing up on Slideshare. I assure, you will be able to signup without any problem......
