Love the new graphsbar graphs for hourly use are more eye friendly.
Good job adding the "rest" in top apps and tagged apps. It makes the leftovers more visual and we have a better idea if they are significant.
Guy replied on January 08, 2008 13:03 to the problem "Weekly Status Update-just got an email saying you have no data for me but when I click on my icon in the systray, I go straight to the website with lots of rich data. What gives?" in RescueTime:
My weekly report for the week of December 30 reports correctly the amount of time spent inthe week of December 30 ending December 31. It does not report activity for Jan 1-5.
Therefore it seems the weekly email reports, just like the dashboard reports, does not have the ability to cross into next month to finish the week.
Guy replied on January 03, 2008 15:04 to the problem "RescueTime doesn't seem to be able to detect the active tab for a web browser (Safari, Firefox)" in RescueTime:
I use IE at work and the SITES seem to report correctly. I occasionally use FIREFOX at home and it also works as expected. However, I prefer to use Seamonkey - it is the more recent mozilla client that integrates mail (like Netscape used to). I prefer not to use Outlook Express and IE at home because my firewalls are not as robust as at work. However, all my reports say SEAMONKEY.
It seems that each browser has its own issues in reporting/extracting the active tab and site currently in focus. However, for the 1% that use neither IE nor FIREFOX, do you want to expend the extra energy.
With limitless resources I would say "please make it work for seamonkey".

time display in graphsWehn you clikc on a TOP TAG FOR TODAY graph item it expands to show hourly usage - great!
However, for each hour in which there is "usage", the time shows as 10AMAM, 11AMAM, etc. then we get 12PMPM followed by 1PMAM. If there is no usem then the "ticks" at the bottom fo the graph are ok. Note that this also applies to the "tool tip" when cursor is on the coloured block.
Much the same symptoms are true when expanding TOP APPS FOR TODAY.

I have a screen cap if you need it
I was able to recreate today
you only need 2/3 sections with SECS instead of HRS

I cheked my monthly totals this am I have something like
79 hours 20 minutes
69 hours 10 minutes
10 hours 10 minutes
and the display is ok
however, display says HRS for hours and SECS for seconds
if all three segments have SECS that is 3 more characters and 30 or so pixels.
Did I mention IE 6.0.2
I know that default font is different on various platforms - although I suspect you are not using relative font sizes here.
good luck in reproduction efforts

dashboard display glitchUnder certain conditions, IE wraps the
"View Full App/Site List "
link below the main graph.
the word list appears ebtween the TOP and REST box about a half line down.
I believe this occurs when the TOTAL TOP and REST sections all have 4 digits...
e.g.
total 40 min 40 sec top 30 min 30 sec rest 10 min 10 sec
since we don't often look at the graph at start of day or since REST seldom exceeds 10 hours, this may not be easy to reproduce.

clarifications that may be important
I cannot see any weekly or monthly graphs although the data arithmetic appears to be correct
no data for dec 3 - we were snowed in and office closed
on dec 4 we had no network though my computer was on. RT had configuration problems claiming not to be able to read my configuration ( i think ) information. I just presumed it was because network was down
once network was back up the reboot went fine as it did today. no errors in data uplaod, numbers are there, no graphs.
