Hülya asked a question in Facebook on April 05, 2009 19:10:

    Hülya
How can Facebook disabled my account for multi posting a MOTOCYCLE SAFETY video link?????
Facebook disabled my account for multi posting a MOTOCYCLE SAFETY video link only to relevant groups, and not to individuals. There were other links to photos and videos, but again related to general motorcycling and linking to youtube mostly.

I have a PAGE for KORONİ, my motorcycle company in Turkey to share global news in both Turkish and English. Most Turkish motorcyclists don't have advanced English language skills to follow the news. So the page serves as a more visual hub to connect all motorcyclists.

I joined all Turkish and English motorcycling groups and posted video links to them about latest races and MOTOCYCLE SAFETY!!!!!!! İroncally, only a day earlier I reported a group for encouraging young people dangerous speeding.

As a media professional I know Facebook only serves as a newsfeed and visual sharing device. I considered paying for targeted advertising on Facebook and now I am glad I did not.

Is this spamming to post Safety videos? Certainly NOT!!!
-If the group found the post/link invasive, they could easily delete my link OR admin of the group could ban me.
-What is the point of communities if one can not share?
-I have received messaged videos from friends and that is not considered spamming. You can forward 500+ videos to friends if you wish and not be considered spamming.

    PERSONAL CONCLUSİON
My impression is it is not what or how much you share, but how you share. You get away with anything as long as you use a Facebook application to track you. However, if you do it selectively, the system automatically picks you as a spammer and disables you. Also if I pay for an ad it is not considered invasive but if you know how to use Facebook as a tool well you are punished.

    Facebook
-Why don't you just ban the person from posting to a particular group or ndividual if it is overdone?
-Why are accounts banned without the case reviewed by a PERSON and not the computers running the system?
-If there is a warning of repeat behaviour, Facebook should pass it on to an HUMAN EMPLOYEE to proceed?
-I have 3 accounts on Facebook and I am sure they are tracked too. If I mean to spam, I am intelligent enough to do it anonymously. Facebook knows most users like myself are sophisticated in use of technology to create multi accounts and use them with malicious intend if they wish.

Response to my group by others:
-Facebook: Get multilingual staff and actually follow what goes on!
-Non-English Groups tend to share few links, photos. and videos.
-I got messaged thanking me for running a lively group all could understand.

-If you try to "DEACTİVATE" your Facebook Account and click the "deactivate" link, Facebook will make an attempt to guilt-trip you into staying by pointing out just how many of your social-network friends won't be able to keep in touch. It even displays pictures of people you're in photos with, playing on your emotions with captions such as, "X will miss you".

Why not the same treatment to warn people? İt is like worst sales people greeting you when you enter a shop to spend and ignoring you when you leave without buying.

TWİTTER, BEBO, Hİ5 & MYSPACE are becoming all the more popular due to Facebook failing to address these issues.

FACEBOOK, you are encouraging more people to leave by choice. There were other social networks before Facebook, there will be always a better one to follow, it is called progress. İmprove before it s too late!

I'm attracted to my friend Raj Anand's temptation to start a new social network for people who have been banned from Facebook.

I WANT MY ORİGİNAL ACCOUNT BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
