A comment on the question "Weather Slide on Carousel" in Tightrope Media Systems:
I too have had that problem since our system went in 7 years ago. I recently re-created the weather backgrounds ( in place of the stock TRMS backgrounds). Gave myself plenty of space for the forecast text. Seems to have done the trick. – Jeff Hamilton, on September 24, 2009 16:59-

A comment on the problem "X-List "sort of" fixed" in Tightrope Media Systems:
Thanks for all your work on this John. Very disappointing that TV Guide's own documentation was wrong (it was - it clearly shows HH:MM:SSis an acceptable format). Thanks for working it out for us! – Jeff Hamilton, on February 24, 2009 20:55-

X-List Output - 0 Duration ProblemToday I did the upgrade to Carousel 5.2.0. However we have noticed an issue with the X-List output, as this version now automatically adds the "Bulletin Board" into the X-list output between video programming, as appropriate. However, in my opinion, there needs to be at least a 1-minute break before this gets inserted. As you can see in the screen capture below, "Bulletin Board" is being added even when there is only a 7-second break. Because of some rounding, this sends contradictory information to TV Guide (X-List). As you can see below, the X-List output shows a 30-minute program running from 6-6:30, but also something from 6:29-6:30. Hope somebody has a solution, because for now I have to go in and manually delete all the zero duration events from the output file. I appreciate how TRMS worked to implement this feature, but hope a work around and fix can be found. Thanks!
Jeff Hamilton replied on September 02, 2008 14:59 to the question "X-List Output - Duplicate Entries" in Tightrope Media Systems:
John - I think you're right. This only shows up when shows span across midnight. In fact, I think this may be generated by Cablecast when it is looking at that next day. For example, if I have a show from 11 PM- 1AM, and I run a report just for day 1, the X-list report is fine (only shows the 11 PM listing once. However, if I run the report to cover both days (before and after midnight), the 11 PM show gets listed twice.
As always, appreciate your quick followup to my question.

X-List Output - Duplicate EntriesWe just started using the X-List output from Cablecast and LOVE it!! I just noticed, however, that sometimes, seemingly randomly, the show in the 11 PM - 12 AM block gets listed twice. This doesn't happen all the time (only 4-6 times in a typical 2-week listing) and always with different shows of different lengths. Below is a picture of what we're looking at. I added the highlighting to point out the duplicate. Any ideas?

Can I make our Cablecast IP address default to the public web schedule, instead of the login screen? For security reasons, our IT Department would prefer that anyone who types in the IP address of our Cablecast box would end up on anything BUT the login page - like maybe the public web schedule. For example, if you type in http://<ip> and hit return, you now go to my Cablecast login screen (don't need the /frontdoor). They'd like to see if instead when somebody does this, they will be redirected to http://<ip>/cablecast/public. Is this possible?</ip></ip>-
