Yup, Quicktime is installed, my machine is authorized, and the quicktime playback add-on is installed. I created a new profile but the same thing still happens :(
I'm running Vista 64-bit, songbird version 1.1.1, and have the following add-ons:
ACM MP3 decoder
Birdtitle
Concerts
DOM Inspector
Javascript Debugger
Last Track Resume
Lyric master
Mash tape
More Native

I have the same problem as registradus -- my m4p files were playing perfectly fine in Songbird until last night; now all I get is silence when I try to play them. What seems weird to me is that this only started happening last night, even though I upgraded to version 1.1 over the weekend. Anyone have an explanation for this?

Hannah asked a question in Songbird on February 27, 2009 02:23:
Playlists being deleted by SongbirdTwice in the last week I have opened Songbird and my playlists (both smart and non-smart) have mysteriously disappeared. I downloaded the Playlist Export Tool add-on to back up my playlists the first time this happened, but I found this inadequate because adding the playlists that I saved creates duplicates in my library which, for some reason, don't seem to be detected by the Exorcist. However, I'm more concerned with why Songbird has deleted my playlists not once, but twice so far. The only thing I can come up with is that it is related to a new feather (NoteBird) that I started using the same night my playlists were deleted for the first time... but that doesn't really make any sense to me. Any suggestions?

This has happened to me too. Usually only some of the artists I have under a particular genre will change to a random number rather than every artist under a genre changing to a number (for example, only some of my artists with the genre "new age" changed to a number as opposed to all my new age tracks switching to a number). The change seems to happen randomly; I added some Rihanna tracks to my playlist last week and I only noticed last night that the genre had been changed from "pop" to a random number.-
