I think that this should be a Premium feature since more Premium users are essential for Spotify in the future, both regarding the available labels and the subscrition rates.

I have three Squeezeboxes in my house, I'd love to be use Spotify on them instead of using my computer. I can connect my iPhone to one of the sound systems but it's awkward to connect/disconnect and have power supply to the iPhone available for longer listening periods. I'm a Premium user, please add Sqeezebox support at least to Premium users.

@Alan Down, higher bit rate in offline mode is interesting. If high bit rate songs (320) are downloaded using Wi-Fi for offline listening, this would not affect the network load when listening to the songs.

Andres, why not make it possible to have 160 for streaming but 320 for offline listening?

3 days is too short. Suppose you ́re on vacation or on a one week business trip to another country. A minimum of 7 days or even 14. It can be very expensive to go online in another country.

One interesting option would be to use the upcoming API for Dropbox, should work both on desktop and mobile clients. Dropbox has 2-3 GB of free online storage ideal for storing music files for integration with Spotify. There are also paid versions with 25, 50 or 100GB, leading to a massive music folder available both on desktop clients, on the iPhone etc. If Dropbox is already installed on the desktop client computer, the local folder should be used instead of remote access to the server.

Display current upload and download speed in the clients. The user should know how much bandwidth Spotify uses each moment. This is even more important now with the possibibility to save playlist contents for offline listening.

Refill account for causual users

I signed up for Premium the first day of the iPhone app but I'm a casual user that only use Spotify for one or a few hours a day and not every day, sometimes only to listen to a couple of songs one day. Premium is too expensive for casual use, the same applies to Day Pass if only used for a couple of songs.

I'd suggest adding a refill type account as being used for mobile phones. $9.99 could e.g. be used for 50 hours of online use, valid for a maximum of 6 months. Refill with $9.99 to add another 50 hours.

There could be a problem if the user forgets the player on, draining the account although not actively listening. This can be avoided with feature that stops playing on the server side after some hours (2 hours or user configurable?) and requires that the user starts playing manually on the client side to continue.

I would definitely sign up for a refill type account but will probably not continue with the Premium account. Hope for many votes for this feature, there must be many casual users that really like Spotify and would welcome this account type.

Had this problem yesterday with the iPhone app. Some songs didn't start to play. Rather annoying for a Premium customer...
