Haonan Zhang marked one of Chris Ricca's replies in drop.io as useful. Chris Ricca replied to the question "Is there a way to get rid of the red bar at the top of a drop?".
Haonan Zhang replied on October 19, 2009 20:18 to the question "Do I get a total of 10GB or 10GB per drop?" in drop.io:
Hey. Glad to hear you guys considering drop.io to help make your Senior Video.
Regarding your question, it's 10 gb total (divided by as many as 20 drops). That should be enough storage for a Senior Video, considering that can hold about 1 hour of raw HD video.
The cool thing, is that if you need more, you can always add an additional gig for $5 a month or upgrade to the 30 gb plan when you need it. so you only need to play for what you actually need to use.
A comment on the problem "Present.io files do not display for attendees" in drop.io:
also make sure that dropio have finished converting the documents to a rich media flash preview first. refresh the drop before presenting to make sure. – Haonan Zhang, on October 14, 2009 20:49

i just tested present.io with a host on one computer and a client on another computer. I was using host was firefox on max and client was IE8 on win7. i tested with a ppt and it loaded and worked fine. try it here http://drop.io/hhzjrry/presentation
so tips to make it work. may sure you are signed in as admin in the drop so you can start and host a presentation.
try to append /presentation to your drop url to enter presentation mode.
try to send your clients the drop.io/[yourdropname]/presentation url to force it into presentation mode.
if you have any detailed/specific description, please email me (haonan@dropio.com) so i may better troubleshoot for you.
thanks!
Haonan Zhang replied on October 14, 2009 20:12 to the question "drop renaming: how??" in drop.io:
you CAN change the name of a drop. go to Settings > Maintenance > Rename Drop.
note that changing the name of your drop will cause the links from your old drop name to no longer work.
However, here is a work around. You can create a bit.ly link and set a custom name for your drop. Here is a screenshot of what I mean View dropioalias-png
hope that helps!
Haonan Zhang replied to "drop renaming: how??", but it was removed. see the change log
