I wish I could give you more help on this but I am on the same boat as you. What I have learned is not to curve your arm towards the inside or too far outside (you'll get gutter balls). My nephews, they usually lay down when they play bowling (this is where it all gets messed up). Somehow they have found a way to get strikes all the time by laying down. I have tried to beat them by doing the "right" bowling moves and apparently it does not work, theory and experience is not something you can use in a game of Wii bowling.
cheers!

Are you a real bowler? That is how i approached the game. the key is to hold the "B" button through the backswing, then as you swing forward release the "B" when the remote is at your leg/side. The remote should start in an upright position with the buttons facing you (like when you hold a real ball), then as you swing let the remote continue to arc down then back. At your back swing the remote should be pointing back. when you release it can either be pointed down or slightly ahead. Good luck.
