harry20larry replied on October 24, 2009 08:45 to the question "Are you guys going to bring the TTR series to The Droid?" in Tapulous:
the likley hood of any phone *killing* off the iphone is nearly zero. The iPhone is now like Microsoft regards developing platform. It is the market leader and nothing at the moment is even close.
The topic has been raised many times before, will tap tap be developed on android. Just cause there is a new android phone doesn't mean anything is different. You will probably receive a vague answer from ed as always.
I think the droid is cool, feature rich, and a great competitor to the iphone, however, thats what everyone said about the pre. Also, as with any cdma network, if a game requires a network connection, which tap tap does, you won't be able to receive calls, the ultimate weakness to the network.
harry20larry replied on October 22, 2009 20:43 to the problem "iPod Touch destroyed - remove shakes NOW" in Tapulous:
I agree with you: shakes are an unnecessary gimmick ruining a great game. The left and right arrows you have to shake harder, however, as kron said, no more than a quick flick would do it.
Shakes endlessly annoy me cause they are simply inaccurate. I can get around 95% perfect tappers in a song, however, with shakes it is hit or miss. No accuracy what so ever, completely unreliable to whether you are going to get a good or bad score.
Another annoyance with shakes is that you can't properly do the forwards one unless you are standing up right or leaning forwards sitting down. If you are playing slouched on a chair or lying down, forward shakes are all over the place.
Tapulous, could you please give users an option to remove shakes from online play, and to have tappers the same value as them because they are simply inaccurate. If not, could please try to improve the computing behind them so that they are slightly more accurate. Also when starting a song, can the game take a 'neutral' of you position, so it can adjust shake co-ordinates so you can play effectively in any position.
Thank you!
harry20larry gave praise in Tapulous on October 09, 2009 06:29:
Why Tapulous is just great...I love tapulous, here's why...
Not only did they just release a kick ass new game to the market but in the 48 hours after the release (usually when most development teams will be having a holiday) they stay and listen to our criticisms, how we think the game would be better. And nearly in the same day, they have made the improvements and continue to listen to us.
I think Tapulous is a great dev team and would like to say that I really do appreciate the effort that you put into making your games great and the amount of community interaction the company has.
Please may people start to Report Problems/Ask Questions with a slightly more polite attitude, it is only fair to them.

Love new download all free, any chance for just extreme tracks?Hey Tapulous,
I love the new download all free tracks menu item, but would love it even more I went into free tracks, saw all the difficulty level organised, then once in the difficulty level, could download all the tracks in that particular difficulty level.
Exactly the same as it was on TTR2.
Thanks

On September 1st Tapulous announced the launch date of TTR3. At the moment, 74% of apps are being reviewed in 2 weeks or under so that means that Tapulous had at minimum 10 days between it being accepted and the launch to prepare. This is why I honestly do believe that it will probably be coming out today

I am a dev and apple provide this much control.
