A comment on the question "Alternate date format for non-US users" in Jetrecord:
If you'd like any other formats listed, just say so. – Harry Love, on September 09, 2008 20:31

A comment on the idea "Load or link photos of aircraft" in Jetrecord:
I tried creating an embedded image using the address of your photo and it didn't work.
However, I was able to create one for the Jetrecord logo and also from images on two completely unrelated web sites. Are you sure that the image address you provided is valid for embedding in a web page? – Harry Love, on September 08, 2008 18:12

I'll add the ability to edit/delete comments. It will probably be under a 15 minute timer, the way Get Satisfaction does it. Would you like me to delete the comments that are there now?
Note that straight HTML is not allowed. You have to use Textile markup: http://textile.thresholdstate.com/ There is also a link to Textile above the comment box on Jetrecord pages that allow comments. – Harry Love, on September 08, 2008 15:10

Add more fields to flightsIf you'd like to see more fields available when entering flight time, please list them in this thread. I may have follow-up questions, but that's only so I make sure I'm doing the right thing.

You can do this in the comments section of each page. Links and embedded images are allowed. Follow the Textile link above the comments to see how it's done. Of course, you can only embed images if they belong to you.
Also note that Flickr photos are directly integrated if they come from your Flickr account and are tagged accordingly.

Oh, no, I haven't changed anything yet. I mean the actual display next to your flights. Do you want it to look like dd-mm-yyyy? – Harry Love, on September 06, 2008 00:52

How would you like dates to display? Also, does the date entry box for flights allow you to enter dates the way you like? – Harry Love, on September 05, 2008 15:15

A comment on the idea "Add an "Instructor" field" in Jetrecord:
I'm going to put the POB numbering on the back burner for now. I agree that it's a little confusing. I think it would be confusing the other way, too.
I'm going to rethink (and redesign) the recent flights list in the new design. The RSS feeds, too. If you export your flights using the exporter, POB will show up (or not) depending on the software you choose. – Harry Love, on September 05, 2008 15:06

Did you also create the airports days ago, or just the routes? – Harry Love, on September 04, 2008 01:27

Sorry about that. Try it now. I just made you a Route Editor. – Harry Love, on September 04, 2008 01:26
Harry Love replied on September 04, 2008 01:18 to the problem "No Google map display on some flights" in Jetrecord:
Yes, the script is running fine. It only runs twice a day.
If you go to http://jetrecord.com/airports/ywck, the airport is there. So after the route script runs (it runs on a schedule), any and all routes that contain that airport will have it on their maps.
As for search, that's completely dependent upon the whim of Google's spiders. If they happen to index that airport, it will show up in the search. Otherwise, even though the airport exists on Jetrecord, the search won't find it.
Harry Love replied on September 04, 2008 01:09 to the problem "Google Maps for ROUTEs on circuits & training flights" in Jetrecord:
After the route updating script runs, all should be fine.
If you want to hurry the process along, first make sure the airports exist by typing in their locations: http://jetrecord.com/airports/ymmb. Then go to the page for the route you want, e.g., http://jetrecord.com/routes/ymmb and tack on "/edit" to the end of the URL, like so:
http://jetrecord.com/routes/ymmb/edit
From there, just click the "Update" button. The map should show up. If it does, you're all done.
