Hi harveylimsponytail,
For Blogger Classic, the installation instructions are located at: http://www.outbrain.com/get/ratings/B...
The main difference is in this line:
var OutbrainPermaLink='<$BlogItemPermalinkUrl$>';
Instead of what you have now:
var OutbrainPermaLink="<BlogItemUrl>";
That way Blogger platform replaces '<$BlogItemPermalinkUrl$>' with correct post url.
As for the feed, we are using the Auto-discover feature (In Firefox and IE7) to detect it. Looking at http://www.adambird.co.uk/blog.html, the auto-discovered feed is:
http://www.adambird.co.uk/blog/atom.xml
But that's just so you know ;-)
Once the URL will be set, it will have ratings.
Let me know once you fix it so i can have a look.
Daniel

Hi Daniel,
Thanks for the reply. In answer to your questions:
1. I used a Classic Blogger Template, and amended the CSS to give it a unique look and feel.
2. I took the installation from the Outbrain website. I think you must have viewed the code whilst I was attempting to fix it, please look at this part again, as I am trying to pull in a new variable (without luck!)
3. The Blog Feed can be found at http://www.adambird.co.uk/atom.xml
Thank You
HLPT

Hi harveylimsponytail,
To get the rater up and running on your blog there are a few things we need to understand...
1. Is this blog a Classic Blogger template or the advanced one? (it's important, so the script is using the proper blogger API)
2. Where did you take the installation from? It’s just that i see the following line in your installation:
var OutbrainPermaLink="http://www.madeinmundo.com/2008/06/02/374/";
The URL is the one that's getting the rating from ratings on your home page.
3. To get the data of your feeds correctly we need the blog feed. Looking at yours i get- HTTP 404 - File not found (on all feeds)
Once i have more information, we can instruct you on what's the proper installation for your blog.
Thanks for your patience
Daniel

Custom Blogger Template Implementation Problems.I have attempting to install the Outbrain Rating Widget on my blog: http://www.adambird.co.uk/blog.html and have selected the 'other' widget. But none of the votes are registering. Can you advise? I am using the blogger platform, but have a custom template. I understand that I need to add a variable to point to the permalink, but have tried various things without much luck.
