I tried to sync twice yesterday, both wireless and cable and got the "communications error" at the end of both syncs. I'll try again tonight and see if it works any better. – Dave Melvin, on August 17, 2009 18:18

I would definitely agree. Having the iPhone app made DL go from being sort of a novelty desktop app to something extremely useful. Having the ability to check your collection while you're standing in a store trying to remember if you've previously purchased that CD (I have 900 of them!) is the killer iPhone app for me. – Dave Melvin, on August 17, 2009 18:15

My Mac is in a basement office, no windows. Lighting is always the same (from a ceiling fixture).

For the most part, scanning doesn't work well on my intel iMac. Like the OP, maybe one in ten will actually scan in. I have to do manual entry most of the time.
