I'm having this same issue. It doesn't seem to occur every time.
If I drag skitch between spaces (don't need to, but I forget because it's natural behavior) it crashes the dock, and hides all my applications. But not the OS hide... because I have to right click on the app in the dock, hide it, then show it again to get the app displayed again. In the middle of a busy day, hiding & showing 15+ apps one after another. Not cool.
Today I induced the same bug simply by changing spaces with skitch active. Not dragging it.
Mac Pro
Leopard 10.5.8
Skitch 1.0b8.3 (v2473)
6 Spaces
I've had this problem for as long as I've had skitch (at least 6 months). It took me a while to figure out what application was causing it.

This appears to work, but the computer needs restarting afterward. Going to test it out more before I consider it a fix. – Heath, on June 18, 2008 01:58

This is driving me nuts. I had a warning message from version cue hidden behind my images. I couldn't find it, and photoshop wasn't responding. It took a lot of spaces shifting, and app switching to finally get the warning message to the top. I almost lost a lot of work cause of this bug.
It's been how many months since leopard came out. It's the first bug I noticed... how can it take so f____n long!?!?!

Leopard SPACES not compatible with photoshop CS3"I'm using Spaces and have noticed when switching to Photoshop CS3 using COMMAND+TAB It hides some interface elements. The only way to get them back is by focusing on the current document and pressing TAB twice."

It looks like Adobe are too busy working on CS4 to fix this. http://digg.com/hardware/Photoshop_to...

I use 6 spaces at work. I use too many apps to use one desktop. I've become so used to spaces I can't just switch it off. I've considered installing CS3 on my parallels machine and running CS3 in coherence mode. Between MAC OFFICE 2008 spaces bugs, and CS3 spaces bugs, I may have to drop back to one desktop.
