As Yahoo isn't my primary I was hoping to have a push, rather than a pull from it. Would their be a chance to have more options on the connections page, maybe push, pull, and sync?

There went Yahoo bringing back all the crap I just deleted. Seriously this is just getting out of control. From 152 to 226.

After three more hours my contacts are getting more under control. After trying carefully to use Outlook as the master list and using an external de-duping tool on Outlook I now have a consistent number of contacts across Outlook, the interface, and Google. I tried using Soocial's sync for my phone, but it failed at the end.

I am just worried now that syncing with Yahoo and Live will bring back all of my deleted contacts. I've manually deleted out all of my groups from both apps so I'll cross my fingers. I still have many more contacts then my first whack at deleting everything, but it is getting more under control.

Soocial Is Mega Buggy for Me

I've just spent three hours organizing my contacts. Towards the end the desktop sync tool said the server required a full sync, then duplicated most of my contacts in Outlook. Then after I'd deleted all the contacts I didn't want the Yahoo connection just restored everything I've deleted.

To make it even more unreliable my Gmail contacts under My Contacts doesn't match anything else (155 in Google, 268 in Soocial, 316 in Outlook).

I've been trying to use Soocial for almost one year now and it has never worked properly. The Soocial interface constantly breaks (reloads, select buttons don't work, takes for ever to load a contact) I have never had Gmail, Outlook, and the interface always having differences. I don't even dare to sync my phone.

Soocial is one service I would definitely pay for if it ever worked properly for me.

Nope. it sync's 53 of 82 and dies. I had deleted the sync settings off my phone and then deleted all contacts, so I could start from scratch. – Heath Weaver, on May 14, 2009 10:13

Another issue I am having is selecting contacts in the Soocial.com interface. I can select a user, but then I can't change selection. I can de-select, but not select someone new without a refresh.

Do you think you could check why sometimes in my connections it is telling me my Highrise API key is wrong (I've double checked and it's the one in Highrise)? It seems to change from time to time of whether it says it is wrong or right.

So. Just got a new Nokia E71 and it has been a complete disaster to sync it. The set up was okay, but once I got to syncing my contacts it was problem after problem.

First, it received 8 contacts and died, then it sent the 8, creating about 5 duplicates and it died receiving 10 contacts. I merged the dup's in the Soocial interface, then my phone sent 15, and received 25 and died again.

My phone keeps sending all the contacts (I suspect because it has never completed a full sync). Then it keeps receiving more and more. Last time it says it received 150 contacts, but I only have 114 (82 without the dup's it created). When I check my phone memory it is at 67.

I went through my notes and tried to delete out all the multiple notes and funny characters. I don't know if that helped or not. I have also noticed that when it merges some of the e-mails turn to craziness.

Soocial is so inconsistent that it is very frustrating. I would be happy to help more if I could, but it seems the core functionality rarely works well, while new features are coming and they don't seem to work well either.

Syncing not well aligned between Outlook, Gmail, Highrise, and the Soocial interface.

If you look at contact 26885135, in Soocial the notes are repeated three times, the first note matches what I have in Outlook, but the accent on the E is turned into =89 in Outlook and it is only shown one time. The note shows up only once in Highrise and not at all in Gmail.

Every time I try to correct it in Outlook, then I sync, the encoding comes back. Also on looking further the notes are duplicated across many contacts.

I've never really had the same amount of contacts in my apps, even after deleting them out of all apps and starting from 0. Outlook is at 81 and soocial is at 81, Gmail is at 65 and Highrise at 73. I am sure I don't have any dup'd emails.
