hectorarturo reported a problem in Participatory Culture Foundation (Miro) on February 10, 2009 22:16:
Miro installation: automatic decisions ans Spanish languageMiro on different unit than pre-determinated reaction:
"Miro can't find the primary video directory located at:
C:\DOCUME~1\HECTOR~1\MYDOCU~1\MYVIDE~1\Miro
This may be because it is located on an external drive that is not connected.
If you continue, the primary video directory will be reset to a location on this drive. If you had videos downloaded this will cause Miro to lose details about those videos.
If you quit, then you can connect the drive or otherwise fix the problem and relaunch Miro".
I hope in the future the program solve this automatically and let me know in Spanish (my installation was configured in Spanish but the log appears in English).
Best,
Héctor

hectorarturo replied on February 10, 2009 08:51 to the question "Password Sharing Discomfort" in Ping.fm:
@devnet instead the password and id you can use a remote key on Friendfeed and I don ́t understand why it ́s impossible that Ping.fm requires me a third party remote key when exists. I know that dependes of Twitter, and another services that don ́t offer a remote key but maybe, Ping could ask Ping about this point vía e-mail or Get Satisfaction and explain us what Twitter and other services are waiting to offer the remote keys.

hectorarturo replied on February 07, 2009 01:41 to the question "Password Sharing Discomfort" in Ping.fm:
@devnet of course, I know Friendfeed and Ping are different sites. The thing I am talking about is that when you use a Friendfeed third app, you don ́t need to give your password... then, Friendfeed is magical?. No. Obviously, I am only expressing my wish about other services adopt the same system: Twitter, Plurk, etc (not Ping)... then we could use Ping.fm services without give our passwords.
Friendfeed use a remote key, not password: http://friendfeed.com/api/faq#remotekey
