@fahrertuer: Length is an issue. If the whole location hierarchy should be displayed as current location (when not at place) and maybe with "Somewhere new in" or "On the road in" in front. It would be awefully long. Don't forget you can always "Show place details" to get the entire location stack.

@FRANQ_23_PL: This was just about what#s displayed in the current location on the "Following" tab. When saving a new place, the location info will be auto pre-filled in the right fields just a s before, no worries.

We are considering doing the popularity ranking based on how many people actually receive messages from a particular channel. This would deal with inactive followers in a better way. Unfortunately it is not technically possible right now, but it's on our list.

I have been thinking about this too. Especially as several people do not know that you are in a neighborhood of a well known town rather than in some little unknown village. My suggestion would be $neighborhood, $city

This is caused by our rather faulty location names database. We are trialling another one now. It looks much better and will hopefully be switched live in the near future.

Just fixed a bug that has been messing things up a bit the last few days. If it still misbehaves tomorrow let us know and i'll try to dig a bit deeper see why.

Ah think i found it. You seem to have logged every other query with GPS coords and every other without. That caused the server to thing you weren't at all. Should be fixed now. Thanks for reporting. You have helped us find and fix a bug (assuming that the fix actually does some good ;-)

Hmm yes there is something more that does not work. Odd. I have added some extra debug logging. Feel free to keep trying and I'll see what i can find out.

Some how your GPS coords were received with comma (,) as decimal separator. I have added comma-to-dot conversion on the server. Please try again ;-)

If the "I am here" option does not show in the menu, it is because our location server does not think that you are nearby this place (which some times is just plain wrong) We are working on a way to fix this, but meanwhile you can work around it by defining 'Home' again. The placed is spelled the same way and either has no address info or the same address as your 'Home' place it will be merged with your existing 'Home' and location recognition will be a tad wiser.
