Hi Peter,
You can get ADSL directly from Skyrove if you wish! All you need is a Telkom (non-prepaid) phone line. Please call us on 0861 ROVERS or email to info@skyrove.com
Henk Kleynhans replied on September 09, 2009 15:15 to the question "Monthly fees yes/no?" in Skyrove:
Hi Neil,
In some cases we provide additional extras for the venue owner which incur a monthly fee (e.g. free voucher facility, bandwidth etc)
Typically, the range of a single router is 20 - 50 m, depending on the setup & environment. In the vast majority of cases, you'd easily be able to share with a neighbour, provided there aren't thick walls between your neighbour and yourself.
The Skyrove router is weatherproof, so you can even mount it outdoors to ensure better signal all-round.

Thanks for the comment, Testusa.
If you go to www.skyrove.com, you can click on My Account and then click on 'Hotspot Logout'.
We'll make a plan to make it more obvious from the home page in the near future.
Henk Kleynhans replied on August 07, 2009 10:58 to the question "Range of signal in apartment block" in Skyrove:
Hi WP,
The answer is, unfortunately, that "it depends".
A good rule of thumb is to have one router for every 5 - 10 apartments, depending on size, materials and layout of the building.
Keep in mind that you can easily increase the size of a Skyrove hotspot by adding additional Skyrove Mesh Routers that will wirelessly repeat and expand the size of your network.
If you have access to neighbouring buildings, you can also set up Skyrove Mesh routers there with flat panel antennas pointing back at your building. In this way you can easily cover multiple floors.
If you'd like, you can contact me via email if you'd like to discuss in more detail. (henk@skyrove.com)
Henk Kleynhans replied on July 28, 2009 09:30 to the question "Hotspot provider requirements" in Skyrove:
Hi Nick,
The router is shipped with a manual that will explain all the steps needed to set it up!
If you want to have a look around the backend system in the meantime, you can register as a Skyrove Hotspot Provider by going to https://auth.skyrove.com and clicking on the Provider Sign Up link.
You can set up the picture, pricing and location of your hotspot so long, and then simply add the MAC address of your router on the Basic Settings tab once you receive it.
Shout if you have any more questions.

Hi Rainer,
You can actually do this right now using the DeviceScape Easy Wi-Fi application. (It's free)
It will work on Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, the iPhone & iPod Touch, Nokia S60 phones and Windows Mobile phones.
Simply head over to www.devicescape.com to register an account, add Skyrove as one of your networks and set up your device.
Shout if you have any problems.
