It is Android and I have just done this, the result is that:
- Uninstall froze on 'uninstalling' indefinitely, which i've never seen happen with any app before
- On force closing and reopening spotify appeared to be uninstalled, so I reinstalled it which worked fine.
- On opening the problems seems to have vanished, so thanks Andres!

Henri Cook asked a question in Spotify on October 28, 2009 22:45:
Limit to offline playlists? There appears to be a limit to the number of songs/playlists I can sync offline, my first instinct was to sync all the stuff I listen to fairly regularly (on shuffle or similar) - what is the limit exactly, will it be raised/removed in the future?
I would have thought it's in Spotify's best interest to get as much offline content out there as possible so load on servers is decreased.
Thanks,
H

Can anyone from Spotify tell me why certain nameservers would prevent me playing certain songs? It really seems highly unlikely - I can play a vast catalogue of songs but struggled with some of the ones detailed
Update: Since the last Spotify update this seems to be fixed, so good work guys - any more info on the problem might be appreciated to satisfy my curiousity
Henri Cook asked a question in Spotify on September 21, 2009 16:09:
Archive Playlists in SpotifyI find myself with a growing number of playlists with titles like 'Jazz Day 08' and 'Scotland 09' etc etc.
Once these trips have finished the playlists could obviously be deleted - I think it would be much nicer for me to be able to archive them in Spotify somehow though driving them out of my 'active playlists' section into perhaps a grayed out area at the bottom for browsing later when i'm feeling nostalgic

Hi Jey,
I don't see how this could be anything to do with my problem, perhaps you can elaborate?
/etc/resolv.conf mainly controls the nameservers my machine uses to resolve domain names to ip addresses - obviously this currently has a working batch of settings, I can browse/email/IM etc all normally - I can even connect to spotify, but I have the play issues listed above. Doesn't *seem* like a DNS issue but feel free to enlighten me..

Henri Cook asked a question in Spotify on September 05, 2009 13:50:
Spotify under wine no longer plays certain songsI've been happily using Spotify via Wine since it was first released. I also connect via an HTTP(S) proxy - as the university insists we do - to use the service.
Since my last update i've been unable to play certain songs, i'm a Computer Scientist so have tried quite a few things to narrow down the cause including moving outside the university network. The presence of an ampersand and brackets in various parts of the track name/artist/album seemed to be the only common factor but since then i've found some songs with brackets in the name still play - so i'm totally puzzled
spotify:track:33EatBUnDjHNVrA3vjxE2r
spotify:track:1FaQPsrH1pusrUJMzmri7d
Anything by Hall & Oates in fact (which led me to my original ampersand theory)
Any ideas? Any updates you can push to me perhaps? I've tried reinstalling latest-stable off the site.

Organisational Spotify CacheWould it be possible to build a caching proxy for organisations to route spotify traffic through? Since it's p2p by nature it might be really nice for places like universities to be able to operate their own caches and save on transfer!
Just a thought, i don't work for a university or anything
Henri Cook shared an idea in Spotify on August 26, 2009 16:31:
Geographical or institutional (based on IP owner?) Statistics available to usersCouldn't figure out a way for me to make any money out of this sadly, but it's a good idea nonetheless. Why don't you geo-code IPs and/or subnets, especially academic subnets - then we could have fun stats of what people in your university are listening to / top10's and even last fm 'neighbour' type features (although i suppose last fm integration is doing the final one haha) - obviously this data could then be sold to music companies to look for trends across the country and target marketing.

McAfee detects Spotify as a virus!?I was surprised this morning to find that McAfee 'On Access Scan' had deleted my copy of Spotify overnight saying that it was an example of W32 IRCbot.gen.z - thanks Mcafee, you're now disabled.
This of course raises an interesting question - does Spotify connect to IRC somewhere? What other reason could McAfee have for detecting it as a chat bot in this way?

Henri Cook marked one of ChrisFlynn's replies in Spotify as useful. ChrisFlynn replied to the idea "I would pay more for a higher quality of music stream, what do you think?".
