Dragging the side panel components is nice, but it doesn't really solve the problem. I have folders with over a hundred pages in them, and when you go to one of those pages, it really looks awful. You have the page itself, and then this long extended tail as the side bar extends many times the length of the page, completely blowing the design. Really would like to see this fixed.

How can I search tags? How can I search tags? For instance, I have tagged a number of verses "provision." But I can't seem to find a place where I can see a list of tags, click on "provision" and then see a list of all the passages I have tagged that way. Without this kind of functionality tags really aren't that helpful.

Marc Schelske shared an idea in PBwiki on July 25, 2008 19:12:
Can we set our own comment length limit?Users on my wiki have a lot to say! That means they are regularly coming up against the built in 2000 word limit on comments. I'm not opposed to a comment limit - if someone has a screed to publish they ought to just create a new wiki page. But 2000 words is actually kind of short for a complete answer in a long discussion.
Is this something that can be extended? Is it something that could be set by the individual wiki admin in the settings?
I think a 5K limit would work in my situation.

Thanks for your quick reply. Neither of the work-arounds are a good fit for us. The first is a bit to techy for most of our users, and violates our keep-the-user-experience-simple rule. The second is what we used in our 1.0 Pbwiki. It was servicable, but we had quite a few technical difficulties and down-times. Se we were excited to switch over to the integrated in-line comments in 2.0.
We're very happy with it. Only two things would perfect our experience. A permission level that allows comments but no editing, and comment-only email notifications. We're looking forward to both of those things!
Thanks for the hard work.
Marc Schelske replied on July 16, 2008 17:28 to the question "Notification of comments?" in PBwiki:
I have an additional request in this area. Because people have to become members in order to comment, they are not only getting notifications for new comments, but for every page edit as well. Our admins and contributor team appreciate those notifications, but the people who are registered just so they can comment are getting overwhelmed with the emails. Even if they select to receive only one email a day, they are still getting a long email with lots of changes that they have to dig through in order to find the comments.
The new notification emails are miles better than the 1.0 version, but I think it would be very helpful to separate the notification systems. One email for edits and changes, a second email for comments. People could select which one they want - and then when you solve the problem of having to making people "writers" in order to comment (still a huge problem for us), then people who comment could get the comment email, while all regular contributors could get both.
Or some other solution you think of... bottom line, some people ONLY want to be notified for comments.
Thanks.

Bump. I can't roll out the new pbwiki in our context until this is fixed. We have a certain number of users in our community who have the right to edit most pages, but we have many more who comment without having that ability. I really want to migrate over to 2.0 because of all the other cool things, but unitl this is resolved we can't.

Hey Rachel,
I've come across a handful of pages in my transfer process that have the same problem as the ones above. Would you wave your magic wand over these pages, so that they will folder correctly? Thanks.
Pages are:
http://bridgewiki.pbwiki.com/Daily%20...
http://bridgewiki.pbwiki.com/Daily%20...
http://bridgewiki.pbwiki.com/Daily%20...
http://bridgewiki.pbwiki.com/Daily%20...
As before they are missing the https, and instead have the http. Thanks!

After a flurry of email, Rachel and her team seem to have solved it. While the details are hazy to me, the pages that weren't working (as you can see in the URLs above) were not https pages, while all the rest of my wiki is. All the pages with https prefixes worked, and the few that for some strange reason were only http didn't. They corrected these pages and now they work. So, problem solved.

It looks like it is unchanged, at least on my end. The following pages will not go into a folder. I try to folder them and I end up getting back a blank white page with this URL: https://bridgewiki.pbwiki.com/folder.php. It hangs there until I manually change the page. Upon refreshing the original page, it shows that it has not been put into a folder. What makes this even weirder is that I have continued to add more pages (transferring page content from another wiki) and the pages I've added since the one day when I had this problem all folder just fine. But these 6 continue to have the problem.

However, I really do appreciate the time you are putting into hunting down this bug. Thanks!

For example.... I'm working on transferring more pages tonight. I just did two pages. One copied over and foldered perfectly. The other one copied over and is exhibiting the "hang" when I select a folder for it. I can see no difference in the code of the page. The titles are essentially the same, with the date text being different. Why would one work and not the other?
Worked:
https://bridgewiki.pbwiki.com/Daily%2...
Didn't Work:

Yes. On the pages I've linked above, foldering is still not working. The pages before in the sequence worked. The pages after in the sequence worked. But these 7 mysteriously won't.
I'm copying these pages over from a 1.0 wiki. Do you suppose there is anything in the page code that is conflicting with the folder action? I'd really like to resolve this.
