Woot. Thanks guys. – Earle Martin, on August 19, 2008 15:57
Ted Grubb's reply to "How about support for OpenID in Satisfaction Unlimited?" was just promoted to the most useful! Earle Martin and 3 other people think it's one of the best replies.
Scott finished his work on this a while back, but there was some integration work that we had to take care of before we could launch it. I'm happy to say that the final pieces are in place and you'll have OpenID (and Windows LiveID) support later tonight or tomorrow!
Thanks everyone for your patience on this one.
Three cheers for scott! \o/ \o/ \o/

Hi Will, Chris,
Thanks for the link to the discussion in the XRDS-Simple group (August 12th - super fresh!). My concern was that XRDS-Simple, even as a simplified protocol, was still built around XRI; but I see that Eran Hammer-Lahav also shares that concern. His proposal to rebuild it around HTTP URIs is totally in line with my feelings on the matter, and, in fact, is startlingly similar to what I was going to reply to Chris with, right down to the mention of the HTTP LINK draft RFC.
Thanks, guys.

Please reconsider the use of XRDS/XRI"We are not satisfied that XRIs provide functionality not readily available from http: URIs." -- Tim Berners-Lee, http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/w... .
Please do not try to establish a standard around an unproven competing technology to the shared foundation of HTTP URIs that the open Web builds upon.-

A comment on the problem "Demand counter has jammed?" in OpenID Foundation:
I hope they replace it; it was both fun to see it increasing and also a useful sign of how many active and vocal OpenID users there are.
Regarding your comment about AppEngine, I really hope that's not the case. – Earle Martin, on June 11, 2008 02:38

Don't shorten URLs unnecessarily. You're shortening all URLs, even if the tweet length including the URL is under 140 characters. Please don't do that; the shortened URLs are opaque and lose valuable message context.

Demand counter has jammed? The counter of how many sites are being demanded seems to have jammed at 1001. (I just added another and it didn't change.)

Embeddable widget, or RSS feed of top 10You could get more publicity by coding up an embeddable widget showing the current top 10, or at least providing an RSS feed of them-
