Mr. Sponge replied on August 12, 2008 21:47 to the question "Why are only 150 out of 2000 contacts reading my emails?" in Spongecell:
It helps to include text like "add us to your safelist," however, if the email is already going to the Spam folder, this may not help much. Unfortunately, there is no way to "force" us to be on the non-spam list.
There are many good practices to follow that will help in the deliverability of your messages. Some include:
+ Use a good, descriptive title
+ Don't use a lot of images
As for the # of user who have "read" your email - this means, not only the user opened the email, but they are displaying images. So, one additional tip is for you to add some text like "make sure you enable 'view images' in this email," something like that. It could very well be that 1200 ppl opened the email, but only 500 have the display images below, thus skewing the number.

How do I keep contacts that want to be unsubscribed from accidentally being added again to my contact list?if a contact unsubscribes to my email blasts, and a few days later I add 100 contacts and their email address happens to be in the list, WILL THEIR EMAIL BE ADDED TO THE LIST AGAIN?
HMTV asked a question in Spongecell on August 12, 2008 18:43:
Why are only 150 out of 2000 contacts reading my emails?I have over 2000 contacts, when I send out a mass email I get about 150 Interest in my Track record.
One of my employees email automatically put our emails in JUNK BOX. Perhaps this is why only 150 people out of 2000 are reading our emails.
Is there some way to email ALL of my contacts, informing them to make sure our email is on their SAFE EMAIL List?
Mr. Sponge replied on July 17, 2008 17:18 to the problem "contact not getting emails, why?" in Spongecell:
This user does not appear in the bounced or abused lists that we maintain. So, it is possible that these emails just started getting marked as SPAM by hotmail. Please have user confirm if emails appear in SPAM or junk folder.
Please send additional questions about this topic to support@spongecell.com.

Mr. Sponge replied on June 30, 2008 00:26 to the question "what are invites?" in Spongecell:
On an event page or from a widget, an end user will have the option to "Send Invitation" or "Invite Friend" or "Send to Friend." These are all the same thing. It is a way to send information on the event to an specified email address (i.e. invite). Spongecell will keep a count of every time a user does this.
