Hmm...great question Clark. The reason I asked the question was because I wanted to post a tweet with a url. I thought I had to do it from my Twinkle on my phone instead of twhirl on my laptop because I wanted people in my area on their iphones to see that I posted the link (via proximity feature in Twinkle). So I created the tinyurl (to conserve valuable tweeting characters) on my laptop using the javascript bookmark, then typed that tinyurl into Twinkle on the iPhone.

Without cut and paste, it'd be difficult to get a Safari link into Twinkle to make the TinyURL. I'd love to see what you come up with to get the links out of Safari and into Twinkle.

Are you planning on coming out with a non-iphone version of Twinkle or planning to partner with another application to hit the Tapulous servers as well when a tweet is sent? When I post from my laptop, I'd love to still have people in my proximity see my tweets on their iPhones using the proximity feature.
