Humancell replied on November 20, 2009 04:36 to the question "Increase Reporting Detail for Improved Visibility of Tweeting Effectiveness" in HootSuite:
Yes ... you HAVE to get some of the link referrers, etc. working! When trying to optimize tweets, to increase relevance, the only way to do this is via the click stats. Knowing what tweets cause the most clicks is one thing, but then knowing *from where* is also valuable!
Today I had a tweet with 600+ clicks ... but then no way to find any other details on the referrer, etc. So no way to really then capitalize on how and why this occurred ...
Add more value ... THAT would be worth paying for ...

See a list of all of my http://ow.ly links, with stats, that I can view and sortI want someplace that I can view ALL of my http://ow.ly links, and see the stats on them, and the tweet they were used with. I want to see columns like: date created, first time clicked, last time clicked, total clicks ... and then be able to sort on any of these.
I also want to be able to see the tweet associated with the url.
Sometimes it's not about the "top clicks" in some time period ... but instead I want to see my URLs in the time order they were created, regardless of clicks.
Humancell replied on November 03, 2009 02:18 to the problem "Yahoo! FireEagle integration is broken!" in Brightkite:
Lesley, Ok ... the FireEagle process seems to be working again ...
BUT ... I have a question now ... are you doing TWO-WAY integration with FireEagle? Or only ONE-WAY (you to them) integration?
When I updated my location in BrightKite, you appear to pass that to FireEagle ... but when I updated FireEagle from another FireEagle application, you didn't update my location in BrightKite. :-(
Is it still broken?

Whoa! Tag Lives! I'm glad to hear back from you guys ...
So give me a PHP lib! Or publish the SOAP protocol if that is what you are using. Just give me a want to implement a service from a non-Microsoft platform. I have nothing against MS platforms, but want to see you guys become more open with service platforms like this one ...
Please? :-)

Humancell shared an idea in Microsoft Tag on August 02, 2009 01:20:
Output the tags in a Word Doc format for Avery LabelsAs I have a few applications where I want to print my tags on stickers, I realized that you need to support the output in a Word Doc format, and you ought to have it laid out for standard Avery Labels.
I could then ask for the tag to be rendered, and choose an Avery Label format that would be in Doc format, and I could then print them on my Laser or Inkjet in quantity.
There are no doubt some standard sizes of Avery Labels that would make sense for the formats that you suggest ... even if it was multiple per sticker and I had to cut them.-

Please add a Product or Service here for the APICan you please add a "Product" or "Service" to Get Satisfaction that represents the Server-Side APIs? You only list the Client, and my questions here are about the APIs ...
Get Satisfaction wants me to select a Product ... and I'm not asking about the Tag Reader Client. :-)
Humancell asked a question in Microsoft Tag on August 02, 2009 01:01:
Is there a REST API for Microsoft Tag?I am very interested in creating a number of applications using Microsoft Tag, but want to use REST APIs ...and I can't seem to find the docs for these. Do they exist?
I believe that you could really gain better traction if you had these ... we have been experimenting with the Google Chart API to create QR Codes ... very slick and simple to use. I fully understand that your solution is a more rich and complex solution ... but simple REST APIs would be great!
This is awesome work ... I look forward to using it!
Humancell replied on July 21, 2009 22:30 to the idea "Offer private messaging capabilities" in Get Satisfaction:
Over the last couple of weeks I have received three e-mails from customers that are "Private Messages". I have then come to the Get Satisfaction site and found NO record of these messages, and no way to reply to these people.
It seems that if you are going to provide a facility to SEND the Private Messages, then I ought to be able to see a record of them ... and reply ... all within Get Satisfaction.
If there is a way to see this, and reply, then it ought to be more visible ... because I can't find it ...
And that leads to the real question ... are these even real messages? Or is someone just forging your e-mail address and doing Phishing attacks?
This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled
How do I reply to a customer private message through your system?.

In Full Screen Presentation, the mock-ups move and are not aligned!I am creating some extensive mock-ups for some iPhone applications. I created a base mock-up for the phone, and then have cloned each and every other mock-up from that. I am then linking them together.
This is all working, and as I flip between the mock-ups in the "design" mode they are all perfectly aligned, and the transitions are smooth.
When I then go into the Full Screen Presentation mode to show to a customer, the mock-ups are NO LONGER aligned ... they are all slightly shifted left and right. So as I click the links to go through the demonstration the result is jerky and moves ... not what I expected. :-(
Why are the mock-ups being moved in the Full Screen Presentation, when they are perfectly aligned in the design mode?
Humancell asked a question in Balsamiq on June 19, 2009 17:14:
How can I link from the iPhone Alert Box buttons?I have put an iPhone Alert Box on my mock-up, and now I want to link the buttons to where they are supposed to go. But I can't!
I ended up having to cover them with other buttons that CAN be linked. Is there a reason that the iPhone Alert Box buttons can not be linked?
Please add that feature! :-)
A comment on the idea "How to determine selected control type?" in Balsamiq:
I did see the workaround ... but it is far too convoluted for the team to use ... too many steps. It seems such a simple thing to add the Component Type somewhere on the property page ... that really seems to be the intuitive place. Each property page seems to have SOME unique attributes per component ... so we're beginning to recognize them ... but ... :-) – Humancell, on June 19, 2009 17:05

Please ... add the name of the control type to the top of the property page! We are passing around larger and larger mock-ups within our team, and it is driving us nuts trying to figure out what controls people have used!
When I select a component, the property page ought to have a title that tells me what it is! Please! :-)
Humancell replied on June 08, 2009 22:08 to the problem "Photos sent from cell phone not being added!" in Ning:
This is almost ridiculous! I've been e-mailing back and forth with the support and engineers of Ning ... and they can't figure out how to do this!
There countless Web 2.0 websites that work perfectly with this! I send photos to them daily! Facebook, Twitpic, Posterous ... but nooooo ... Ning FAILS!
I'm shocked that the developers of Ning are unable to figure out something so simple ... countless other sites work just fine. I have my own (offshore!) programmers writing code that does the same thing ... accepts these standard e-mails with photos and posts them ...
What is going on that the Ning developers are so confused and incapable?
I'll be GLAD to fix your code for you!! Just so that this stupid feature would work for me and my communities!!

My problem is not related to the custom domains ... I'm using a Ning domain.
The engineering team has committed to look at this and get it fixed. I just sent them more information about - yet another service - that works just fine - TwitPic.
I signed up for TwitPic.com and they gave me a similar e-mail address ... and it's working just fine!
So I now have 5 different services that work fine ... except for Ning.com.
They are parsing the mail incorrectly ...
