Okay....after TWO days, Twitter's automated email finally arrived for an account I had overlooked. Unfortunately, every time I attempt to change the password using the method described above, I receive an error from Twitter:

"Sorry, we couldn't verify that this user requested a password reset."

In other words, this is a major bug.

I have an aliased Gmail address and when I attempt to change my email address to a non-aliased address, Twitter displays an error: "Email has already been taken". Clearly, that cannot be correct since I have the non-aliased address.

What am I supposed to do to make the change?

I guess it's a difference of opinion. If I were producing a game, I'd make sure the instructions were available at launch. I realize you guys are busy with Packrat AND Gowalla, but imagine if you bought Monopoly and it only came with a game board, dice, some fake money, and a set of small metal game pieces. It's been SIX MONTHS since AlamoFire indicated they would link this information on the homepage. They create the FAQ and then fail to advertise it anywhere on their own website.

Instructions on how to play your game should not be afterthought.

Agreed with Jessica. Considering the amount of positive press Gowalla has received, you'd think getting this done properly would be a priority. Apparently, AlamoFire feels adding a video to the homepage resolves this problem. – Huuuze, on September 30, 2009 18:58

The desktop version of Tweetie fails to login. I received a proxy authentication required. Shouldn't the app be using my system's proxy settings?

So I received 5 free icons when I created my account. Should I vault them? I still think it's fairly lame that Alamofire failed to create an FAQ prior to launch. Seems fairly disorganized and they may have launched simply to meet a self-imposed SXSW deadline. – Huuuze, on March 25, 2009 16:44
