when I go to twitter.com/username it says "Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!" ... guess I'm out of luck huh? – Hyperdelicious, on October 30, 2009 01:01

What is Twitters policy on releasing username(s) that are no longer in use?I have chosen a username which already exists... I checked to see who/how that username is being used... (ie. twitter.com/username)... I get the following message: "page doesn't exist".
Perhaps the user deleted their account... or it is no longer in use... is there a way the good people at Twitter can check on this... and release the username to public domain... so that I may use it?
