Timestamp "You checked in" message
It would be useful to add a timestamp to the "You checked in ... ago" message in the page heading.

I, too, agree with jodiem's point. I can control who sees my tweets in twitter.

Lesley: I wasn't able to find anything within the customize links that enabled posting when set to private. My updates continue to *not* to post to twitter. If I switch to public, the posts make it through fine.

But I don't want these updates to be public in Brightkite.

IM-based notification or checkin/checkout
Does (or will, and if so, when) Brightkite support checkin or notification via IM? Twitter supports this and it's great to use in both directions. Also saves on SMS count for those of us with limited SMS.
