But it was strange... I know what a 301 is, but lots of people would think it was a problem with them...

when I click on the markkit bookmark in Firefox's Bookmarks Toolbar I get a 301 server response - Permanently Moved. Nothing works...
What's that about then?

Well, as someone involved in education... it's always good to be self-reflective, see where you've come from, how you've evolved (or regressed!), how your own social approach might have changed. Twitter is about self-expression ("What are you doing?") and therefore reflecting on that should be relevant... and a history might help, and point people to be better tweeters...

I think Why someone follows you isn't really relevant - or it can't be captured, anyway, without requesting too much information, of the sort that's not easily captured automagically.

Would be useful if I could see a report on myself to see how I compare with those who are recommended to me, showing my ratio, tweets per day, etc. These stats could be stored over time to allow me to track how I've "progressed" (if you can call it that).

twhirl controls become "sticky" and unresponsive under XP SP3 - insane scrolling and slow death ensues. Program can only be closed by right-clicking on systray menu. Process doesn't stop even after that, and multiple twhirl processes appear, all of which have to be Ended before it will run again - but then it runs for a couple of minutes before dying horribly.
This has only happened post-SP3... it's enough to make me stop using twhirl

Thanks for that... that's fine on my mobile phone (Nokia N95), where I can switch between Standard and Mobile, but on my computer's IE7 browser (even after visiting the site on my phone and switching to standard), I still get the image above...

I was wondering what m.twitter.com looked like on my Vista IE7 browser, so I entered the URL in the address bar and it came up with an error message - evidently the browser wouldn't handle it, which is OK.
However, next time when I went to look at any page on www.twitter.com, I get the following:

D'oh! I've logged in in Firefox and it's OK, but this seems a bit rubbish. I've deleted the twitter.com cookie, but to no avail... obviously I can't log out (as I can't see the site) - any clue would be gratefully accepted!

this is a change overnight (in the UK) - DMs were fine 12 hours ago, now they don't show in twhirl... has the Twitter API changed or something?
