Hi!
The Last.fm addon that's on the addons site isn't compatible with the latest nightlies. Grab a nightly addon build from: http://developer.songbirdnest.com/nig...

Ian McKellar replied on September 16, 2008 16:59 to the idea "Enable vinyl scrobbling using discogs" in Songbird:
That is a kind of weird idea :) I don't think we'll ever implement it - we're focussed on playing the music you've got on your computer. If discogs has an API it should be too hard (or at least it should be possible) to build a web service that scrobbles based on your discogs library.
Oh, but there's one thing - I don't think that last.fm supports vinyl-style track numbers (A1, A2, etc) - it (like Songbird actually) expects a track number to just be a number.

Ian McKellar replied on September 12, 2008 22:52 to the question "Does songbird have scrobbling cache?" in Songbird:
Yes indeed! Songbird 0.7 added the playback history service (see: http://src.songbirdnest.com/source/xr...) and we're using that to keep track of what you've played. At the end of every track, immediately after you log in, or after every five minutes we try to post un-scrobbled tracks to last.fm.

Ian McKellar replied on September 05, 2008 04:16 to the question "is scrobbling taken out of the latest nightlies?" in Songbird:
When you install nightlies you have to manually install first-run addons. See: http://wiki.songbirdnest.com/Develope...
In fact, I've been doing a bunch of work on the Last.fm addon that will hopefully ship to 0.7 users next week, but if you grab tomorrow's nightly it will all be there!
Ian McKellar replied on September 04, 2008 23:01 to the problem "Songs not scrobbling in Last.FM" in Songbird:
Okey dokey, sorry it's taken me a while to get back to this thread, I've been tracking down bugs and working on a new release. I finally got my hands on a profile that exhibited this behavior (one of our remote employees is on-site this week). I've identified the problem, filed a bug (http://bugzilla.songbirdnest.com/show...) and am working on a workaround in the meantime.

Ian McKellar replied on September 04, 2008 19:02 to the question "Will Songbird use TraceMonkey, too?" in Songbird:
I expect that after Firefox 3.1 is released Songbird will look to move onto that codebase (XULRunner 1.9.1). Till then we're going to stick on the relatively stable 1.9.0 codebase that Firefox 3.0 uses. Tracemonkey still has some rough edges - Firefox 3.1 doesn't use it for application code, just for web content. The biggest benefits will come when the app can use it too.-
