Okay, I think this is somewhat sorted now. After a couple of attempts I was able to save the information! Yay!

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I enabled Firebug in my browser to try and track down the cause of the issue at my end and after I did that, the form then saved successfully on the next try. Maybe this wasn't a coincidence? Is it possible that a disabled installation of Firebug gets in the way of a-synchronous form submits? It might be nothing, but could be worth looking into it further.

Thanks for the help. Next, I'm gonna test out the Freshbooks integration! I'll post up here if there are any further issues.

Yep. That's what's happening. It's not remembering my details from what I can see.

I'm on a Windows XP machine, with Firefox 3.0.11.

Does anything spring to mind that might be preventing the form from submitting properly?

Freshbooks Integration Seems Broken. Can Anyone Help?

Looks like the Freshbooks integration is broken for me. When I put in my API Key and URL into Slife I get a message that says 'Settings saved successfully' but nothing else happens. The form doesn't actually post anything back to the server and the info isn't being saved. So no Freshbooks for me :( What can be done?

I love Freshbooks but keeping on top of the time tracking aspect of it has always been laborious. If I could just get these two services to talk to each other it'd make my day.

We've updated how we validate URLs so you should now be able to shorten URLs with plus signs in them.

It's funny you asked for this because it was included in an update we released last week.

If the logo isn't clickable for you, try refreshing the page or clearing your cache. If after trying those two things it still doesn't work, drop me another comment here and I'll look into it further.

We already have a bookmarklet built into the homepage. Just drag the 'Shorten Any URL, Right Now' text into your Bookmark toolbar.

We'll give some thought to adding a text format to the API. Might be a useful addition alright.

There's a new Tour Guide video available from the top right hand corner of the Short.ie homepage. It's a two minute screencast that shows most of the main features on offer.

To view the video, go to http://short.ie and click on the yellow button in the top right hand corner that says 'Take a Tour'.

Just after I ran this test I figured out what I had done wrong and made the necessary changes. (just needed to change the link in the URL).

The company is short.ie (http://getsatisfaction.com/shortie). I'm still waiting to have it approved (4 day wait). Actually I've a quick question about that...

If someone provides feedback to the companies page via the widget before the company has been approved, will their feedback show up on the Get Satisfaction page once the company has been given the go ahead?
