A comment on the question "Has importing iTunes artwork been implemented yet?" in Songbird:
I followed the (i.e folder.jpg or cover.jpg) suggestion by boosh for the m4a m4p files, took a while copying the art from each album from itunes art preview pane and then pasting into the correct music file folder and renaming to cover.jpg. But now songbird is finding all album art.

Import files you download from Music E-stores, though DRMd music seems a problem

Trying to reproduce your problem. My Paging file is 'on'
Things to try, ignore quotes and brackets
Make new text file on desktop rename to 'Songbird.cmd' need extensions 'not hidden' to change extension.
Right click new file click [Edit] and paste in following
Start /abovenormal /B "1" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Songbird\Songbird.exe"
close [save changes] presuming Songbird in default folder.
Run file to start Songbird at 'above normal' priority
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Songbird -right click Songbird.exe select [Compatibility] tab and tick
'Run this program as an administrator'
and/or
'Run this program in compatibility mode for' [Windows XP (Service Pack 2)]
Is your C:\ Drive getting full? Try moving your Music files to a separate Drive if it is.

Give a little info about your system specification i.e. RamGb, 32 or 64 bit Vista, CPU type, also is your music stored on C: User Music Folder or on a separate Drive?
Did songbird import the iTunes Library or Scan the Music folder.
Is Vista indexing on or off? Since it was working before, do you recall what Add-On/s you have installed since then?-

icebearhugo replied on December 19, 2008 14:16 to the problem "Cannot import FLAC files with embedded cover art" in Songbird:
I just imported an album that is in Flac, that had full Meta Data showing in Foobar2000. The album art was named [cover.jpg] in same folder as files.
The files imported OK and the cover art shows but other than the track name the meta was blank.
However the album was there at the very end of the list in my library and I edited the meta data from within songbird. Now all is fine.
Maybe your files are hiding at the end of your library :-)
Oh and the Flac files play perfectly
