you can easily do most of these yourself by editing the skin xmls. there are lots of examples in xbmc forum and if you need specific help dont hesitate to ask.

unidentified videos can be accessed from the browse menu using the default folder and file structure. you can not change or rename files from within boxee.

this change was made as a first step before we make a bigger change in the beta which will be released around september.
you're idea is good but i think its going to be even harder to support it in the next version.
i hope its going to be more convenient for you in the very near future.

if they have support for rss feeds of their content you can use that.
if not you can try looking for yahoo pipes rss feeds that other people wrote and get the content you want.
if not you can try writing a pipe yourself, its pretty simple.

i have to admit we have all been kind of hurt by these features in the past. i can still remember with pain the time i spent on changing back my file names and tags after that fatal decision to let itunes tidy my library.

in boxee we have decided to never touch your local files and only to read them, i think thats the safest and most honest thing to do. we will leave the tidying to other products.

boxee can scrobble. if you go to appbox / my applications and find last.fm there you can access its settings. there you can enable scrobbling your songs to boxee.
