ihatemornings replied on August 21, 2009 17:30 to the question "Has Echo Free gone?" in JS-Kit:

    ihatemornings
Does the free version of ECHO pull in references from Twitter, Delicious etc. like the one on the ECHO home page? Or is that a feature of ECHO Live?

The commenting system is really smooth, but I was hoping for some tweets and Delicious bookmarks to show up on my site.

*update* While writing this I've noticed the following answer on another ticket:

Echo Live is now $12 and you just have to upgrade using the pricing page at www.js-kit.com/pricing - this will give you live streaming and aggregation of comments made off site.

Neither the Features page on the wiki nor the /pricing page mentions ECHO Free, so it's difficult to know exactly what functionality I have!

Does the free version include aggregation from other sites?.

  • problem

ihatemornings reported a problem in Clearleft on July 13, 2009 12:03:

    ihatemornings
One of my captured videos is unreadable.
I've exported 5 sessions from a project, and one of them had no iSight video or audio. The other four worked fine. I dug out the VideoCapture.mov file and opened it up in VLC, but it can't read it. Seems like maybe the headers are corrupt. The file is 255MB so it looks like something was captured, but I can't play it and it doesn't export.

This isn't a complete disaster, but I'm testing out Silverback hoping to use it much more and I'd love to be able to guarantee results (because apart from this issue I love it!). It's a shame to have to deliver videos to the client with excuses.
