ok, thanks, lowering the security level has worked, i can know get onto beatport, i hope this doesn't cause any problems with anything else, if so, then i will try switching to firefox .. thankyou laura for ur help.

no, i think it may be to do with the settings on my laptop, when i try to open beatport, a new window opens for a few seconds, then a sign appears saying that the window is working and then closes. i am using vista, and can access beaport fine on an xp enabled pc ...
