Seemed to start working again just now. From the page at http://status.jabber.org/, looks like maybe they downgraded to the old version of the server (1.1.3 instead of 2.0.0).

I haven't heard anything. Last I saw was on that jabber.org blog (see link above), a post dated 4/14 saying they knew Twitter was broken and were working on it. Nothing since then. I tried posting a followup and got no response.

Yes, "While those changes have made the service more stable over all" is certainly a strange way of looking at things. A change that fundamentally breaks the main functionality does not make things more stable.

Using Gajim on Ubuntu with a jabber.org account. Bottom line is, the twitter@twitter.com account went offline about a week ago and hasn't been seen since. Nothing on my end has changed.

Also, I didn't notice this before, but I can still send messages out to twitter@twitter.com, I just never get anything back.

I'm assuming since others have subscribed to this that other people are having the same problem. Could we get a response here?

The server I'm logged into is jabber.org. The twitter@twitter.com account has not been logged in for at least a week now.

Everything else still seems to be logged in, so I don't think the problem is on my end. But if it is somehow, of course I would like to know that as well.

Does no one care because everyone uses GTalk instead?

Here, I will even add a frowny face, since your software has told me that's very important.

For the past 2-3 days or more, the twitter@twitter.com account has showed up as being 'offline' in Jabber. Is there anyone looking into this?

More generally, is there some kind of system status page where I can see whether anyone thinks this should be working or not?
