Hoon, thanks for granting the premium month.

I tried setting up the IMAP account with Entourage as well as Apple Mail. It does connect occasionally but I get error messages all the time. And only two of my hundred-sth email boxes load messages...

Whats the best way to dump all my messages that are stored in OIB into Gmail?

Sure, I can explain in more detail.

I have two main email channels: work and private mail. So I have one adress per channel.

The problem i tried to solve with getsatisfaction was pushing away everything that was distracting me from the important stuff comming in in those channels. This again consists of two elements: unimportant emails (facebook notifications for example) and spam/newsletter/...

As i started to put everything unimportant into otherinbox the unimportant but still worth reading mails (once a day or every other day) and spam still mixed and created time waste.

Now i just put all that into a new spam Gmail app acount with a catch all. More important stuff like amazon, ebay get their own label and are auto filtered there. the rest auto goes into one label other and is archived automatically. so i can go there every once in a while and see if i missed anything.

seems to be more efficient for me + still free + better spam recognition

still think that otherinbox is a great product though!

I would like to quit using OtherInbox - not because it isnt a good product but because it does not fit my needs anylonger. I would like to transfer all Email in my account to a Gmail account. How can I do that? Can you give me IMAP access for a couple of days so I can transfer the Email? Would not like to set up a premium account just for that.

For me the best would be if the standard setting would be that the mailboxes are sorted by # of emails unread. The priority setting (high, normal, low) could still apply of course.

Would be great if you could give us a number of sorting options on top of the mailboxes:
-alphabetically
-# of emails unread
-# of emails total
-last activity (last incoming email)
-date mailbox created (first incoming email)
each of these ascending and descending...

Also: i like the priority setting but i would like it more if i could handle it right from the main screen instead of having ot go to the mailbox settings page. Would appreciate three stars or a traffic light system next to the mailbox name where i can make this setting

When I browse through my new msg I often find that there is nothing interesting and would like to mark them all as read. now i have the hustle to go through all the mailboxes and mark them as read individually.

the biggest problem is that the spammers dont use fixed but flexible mailboxes that they are sending to...
they dont send to daniel@domain.com or hoon@domain.com
they send to 938204728949@domain.com and the next time its 734658792643875@domain.com
so blocking does not help here, they make up new mailboxes all the time

I would like to add: if some kind of manual (rules) or automatic spam filter is set up it would be great to integrate this in the Navbar s.th. like this:

I set up an old domain name i have not been using for a while as my otherinbox domain. since i never had catch-all with the domain i did not relly notice but i get all this spam to weird email addresses within the domain - kind of like 78976927493628007706311@domain.com

I would really appreciate some way to filter these out or the system to detect them as obvious spam. they are all pretty much the same spam about viagra...

this would be great because right now this messes up otherinbox for me makes it much less useful then before. the only other solution would be to not use domain.com anymore but only username.otherinbox.com.
